The venue was on the quay, brilliant position as only 10-15 walk from the railway station and close to Tesco and lots of eateries. Short stroll to the Pavilion theatre. Great full English breakfast was included in the price. On arrival I was upgraded to an en-suite as other rooms with shared bathrooms would mean walking up steep staircase. The land lady initiated this which is very kind and made life easier.The Wi-Fi in my bedroom worked perfectly and consistently.
As the venue is in a popular pub with live music guests need to know before booking if they are not comfortable with late nights (12.30)pm. It did not bother me as I am a late bird and went prepared with earplugs. Guests need to take own toiletries and hairdryer if needed.

Lovely friendly staff - fabulous breakfast.
In room one - bed furthest from the window. Mattress is so thin & badly sprung - it collapses (I’m slightly built so my wife had to have the other bed) nights sleep was very poor because of the above.

Dated decor and facilities No en-suite (my fault when booking) I little grubby, and I’m certainly not precious.
