Lovely property in the heart of the countryside with a great garden. Cute dogs and even chickens roving around. Good breakfast too. Will definitely return if I can

The hotel is in a rural location with a pleasant aspect and a large garden with plenty of seats. My room on the first floor overlooking the back yard had a nicely equiped bathroom, a settee and a comfortable bed. Breakfasts were good with a cooked option and served from 0730 on weekdays and 0830 at weekends.

The humming noise from the kitchen extractor fan below my room was unsettling - it started each day by 07:00 and finished at around 21:50. The Wifi connection in my room kept dropping out and combined with a weak mobile signal made it difficult to use the internet reliably to plan excursions.

Lovely location and the building itself is beautiful. Our room was cute, beds comfy and the bathroom fantastic. Ended up ordering cooked breakfast which was well executed.

The local resident peacock kept us awake until late at night and then again from the early hours of the following morning which didn’t bother me as much as it bothered my friend. What I did not enjoy at all though was the nice continental breakfast buffet sat on the side with several flies crawling all over the soft cheese, meats and croissants. Completely gross. There is a simple solution to that which is domes and covers for the food to keep the flies away.
