Farthings Hotel and Restaurant

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The rooms were just delightful, very well appointed and very comfortable. The food was also exceptional, and the whole experience exceeded expectations - enormously.

Nothing - we wish we could have stayed longer.

Dinner was very good. The room was very pleasant.

The service at breakfast was poor although the breakfast when it arrived was good.

food was incredible, for dinner, top quality and service Breakfast was just as amazing room was very clean, with a lovely view and gardens, and so welcoming to the dogs Did not expect such a high standard for the price

parking may have been better marked

Lovely location and the building itself is beautiful. Our room was cute, beds comfy and the bathroom fantastic. Ended up ordering cooked breakfast which was well executed.

The local resident peacock kept us awake until late at night and then again from the early hours of the following morning which didn’t bother me as much as it bothered my friend. What I did not enjoy at all though was the nice continental breakfast buffet sat on the side with several flies crawling all over the soft cheese, meats and croissants. Completely gross. There is a simple solution to that which is domes and covers for the food to keep the flies away.
