It’s a lovely old building in the centre of Taunton. The bed was very comfortable and the buffet breakfast excellent. A nice traditional feel about the public areas and staircase.
I liked it but the slight air of faded elegance may not appeal to all.

Only one small croissant very small choice. Toaster was useless. I gave up with it, Better of choice of breads and pasteries,
I was also disappointed by the very poor Dinner menu, it was more like poor Pub menu not a top class hotel as it used to be. However I last stayed at the Castle 60 Years ago.
The Suite was wonderful. More toiletries would have been nice.

Nice period building with some nice features
No curtains in our room just stutters which let to much light in. Don’t like paying extra for parking. Breakfast was only ok for the money
