Basic clean hotel with lovely friendly staff, close to shops and town. Can’t fault it!
Pretty basic hotel but that’s exactly what I needed for a one night stay with my daughter, it was clean, comfortable beds and a fridge/kettle/tea and coffee in the room. Nice size shower, close to small shops and restaurants, short walk from the town centre. The staff were also lovely and very helpful.
The only thing to bear in mind that it’s on a main road so it was a little noisy in the evening, but we both slept really well so it obviously wasn’t that noisy!

Convenient but basic for the price
Close to train station and town. Very good reception check in, staff lovely, 1x free special coffee per guest per day. Good security. Provision of good quality hair dryer. Provision of hand soap, and shower soap. Provision of fridge for cold drinks. Bed was firm but comfortable. Only 2 pillows provided but more given when asked for. Room was warm, with adjustable electric heater.
Room 11 was disappointing :( The room wasn't particularly small but felt it with there not being a clear window to outside (there is an obscured window behind the bed covered by the blind, so fresh air could be gained if needed, but opening onto a narrow rear alley. Shower room very small, with vanity basin not adequate for washing any more than hands and teeth. Definitely difficult to get the full sized kettle in to fill for drinks. No towel rail so towels had to go on the floor. Extractor fan didn't seem like it did anything? Bathroom light switch above the bathroom door for some reason? A coat hook would be helpful for somewhere to hang wet coats. Minimal no of coat hangers. Only 1 spare electric socket.

No working table. It is very small and in a corner of the building. Not comfortable for working people.

The space was clean and full of light, they had made the effort to get the heating on before check in where it had been cold and the staff were super welcoming and friendly (both day and night staff) all in all I was really impressed and surprised as to how good my stay was seeing as it was so cheap!

Emma on the desk was very welcoming, she made us feel at ease straight away. Can’t speak highly enough of her. The bed was amazing and so comfy! Even thought the room was overlooking the main ‘drag’ of Taunton we barely heard the traffic. We would definitely stay again!
There wasn’t anything bad to say! It was exactly what we wanted.
