Great breakfast. Location is good

Plenty of hooks and racks to dry everything on a very wet day! Rooms are basic but have everything you need for an overnight stay.

The shower was very difficult to set, boiling hot then cold. I almost gave up on trying to use the couple of seconds in between each cycle, but it did settle down eventually.

The room was clean and had the usual, basic hotel services I would expect to find, including an en-suite shower room/WC. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly and overall, it was reasonable value for the price for such a central location.

The shower initially belted out very hot water before I adjusted it. This would have scalded me if I hadn't half expected this problem from previous hotel experiences. No car parking on site was a nuisance but a long term car park a few minutes walk away sorted out that problem. I expected that no air con might be a problem in the very hot weather I experienced but in practice the room was cool and I could sleep easily. However, having air con would of course have been better.

The room was comfortable enough, the location was good. The staff were very friendly and helpful

No hot water when we showered (the staff were very apologetic, once made aware). Mould on the ceiling in the bathroom. The parking was a 5 minute walk away at the train station.
