Stunning views from breakfast room / outside, peaceful location overlooking town & mountains, lovely breakfast. Easy parking.

Access was awkward - both from carpark down to reception and then up to room. Not recommended for those with mobility issues.

Astonishing views from an immaculate hotel.

Beautiful view from the breakfast room. It was absolutely charming in the shared downstairs rooms.

Our particular room # 17 was too small with only one chair and no room to open up our luggage. I would definitely opt for a larger double room. You needed to pay 1 euro for every towel you wanted changed out ( and we there four days). Also it was 3 euros per serving if you wanted eggs. Otherwise it was a lovely breakfast . There are many steps from the parking area to the hotel and then two flights of stairs up to our room.

Everything we hoped for and more.

The view was spectacular, the property has a private pathway leading directly to Town, and the hostess Stephanie was lovely. Perfect. If we go back to Mittenwald we will stay at this location again, room #2!

Spectacular view warm welcoming

This hotel is considered to be the most appropriately named in Matemwald. It features an open terrace to the garden that overlooks one of the most beautiful landscapes in Bavaria. The manager is the owner of this historical hotel, and she made sure that we felt like we were at home. The room I stayed in was spacious, clean, and cozy. It didn’t feel like I was staying at a hotel that was typical. The breakfast was very good and the owner made sure that every one of my family members felt at home. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who is visiting Mittenwald.

The location is really nice, with the town lying at your feet. it could be a great place to stay on holiday or just for a weekend if they would care a bit about the guest. The one who is a professional and really friendly is the man service the breakfast, tasty food and enough. Just too tide on schedule, you can only have breakfast between 8:00 and 10:00. It is a little bit late if you want to go hiking to the mountains nearby. Imposible to be ready before 9:30.

I saw nobody in the reception or in the hotel. No one when we came in on Sunday 14:30 or Monday after breakfast. Just the keys in the locker with a code that you get with the mail. I made two questions though the chat of booking.com that still today are waiting for the answers. Absolutely cold. The question we’re about the internet, that you have not in the rooms, just in the living. I spoke about that point the last day with the lady who was waiting with the bill and she questioned what I said, may be too much people connected, she said (the router signal doesn’t reach the rooms, it’s easy to verify) No information at all about the place were to go or which place to visit. Any service at all, that is not the idea about a 3 stars hotel that I have But what I find unacceptable is that they require us both a Covi test with official certificate to get the keys and accept to follow all the rules at anytime in the hotel like wearing a mask, that’s is good. Everyone in the hotel did that, except the woman cleaning the accommodation. The following of the COVID rules is for everyone, also for you!

The hotel itself is OK. I would recommend for a visit to the area.

The view was nice from the side of the hill. Surrounding was also nice. Free parking was a bonus although it was behind the hotel. The road leading to it is not easy to find.

The reception closes early. So you need to inform them in advance of this. when booking we were not aware of this and when we got there late ( 8.30pm) the reception and main door was locked. They left the key for us in the letter box. To get to the hotel itself was not easy if you had large suitcases. You needed to carry them down some flights of steps. The same within the hotel itself where our room was on the second floor. Wifi was not accessible in our room. Only in the main lobby area.

Sehr sauberes schönes Zimmer mit großem Balkon. Tolle Panorama Sicht auf Mittenwald und die Berge.

Das Hotel liegt etwas außerhalb erhöht von Mittenwald, sodass man einen schönen Blick auf den Ort hat. Das Zimmer was sauber und relativ neu eingerichtet. Im Hinblick auf den Service haben uns die angesetzten Extra Gebühren ein wenig irritiert. Ein Handtuchwechsel kostet pro Handtuch 1,50€, die Sauna für 2h 35€. Ebenso kostet ein Rührei oder Spiegelei beim Frühstück zusätzlich 3€. Das Frühstück war ansonsten lecker, jedoch mit etwas wenig Auswahl Dadurch, dass die Kaffeemaschine nicht selber bedient werden darf, entstanden hier teilweise längere Wartezeiten.

Fantastische locatie!

Heel onpersoonlijk. Eigenaresse vroeg niets en je zag haar niet. Alles zelf doen en uitzoeken. Ontbijt beperkt en koffie moest je steeds vragen, omdat het apparaat niet zelfbediend mocht worden. Kamers zeer gehorig. Zelfs voor nieuwe handdoeken moet je per dag €5 extra betalen.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit eigenem Charme.

Wir waren zwar nur eine Nacht in diesem Hotel mit gewissen Charme. Aber uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das Zimmer war sehr groß mit Erker. Es war dem Ambiente des Hauses entsprechend eingerichtet und sauber. Das Badezimmer hatte zwar Waschraumcharakter aber war riesig. Das Frühstück war der Hammer, es fehlte an nichts. Sehr schöner heller Frühstücksraum. Die Lage des Hotels war für uns auch sehr schön, am Rande der Stadt. Mit einem traumhaft schönen Ausblick auf die Stadt und das Karwendelgebirge. Ein idealer Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in der Region.

Der einzige kleine Minuspunkt war das Nachbestellen von Kaffee zum Frühstück, weil es keine Selbstbedienung war. Wenn die nette Dame vom Service nicht vor Ort war, gab es keinen Kaffee mehr.
