Very comfortable traditional family hotel located close to the centre.

A cosy and traditional hotel located very close to the centre of Mittenwald. Staff were friendly and helpful. As a single person it was nice to be able to book a single room which was spacious and comfortable and priced well. A tasty breakfast with lots of choice was included.

A Wonderful Stay in Bavaria

The room was very clean, the location was great, the staff was cheerful, welcoming, and helpful. We had a comfortable balcony with a mountain view. The breakfast was great.

Excellent stay in Mittenwald.

Excellent location - close to town, but.just far enough away from the main street to feel quiet. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent -lots of delicious options. The room was as described.

It was unseasonably warm when we visited. We knew there was no air conditioning, but a small fan would have done wonders to improve the comfort at night. We asked for one, but they didn’t have any. Our room was on the first floor, near the parking lot, so leaving the patio door open was not a good option for privacy and noise. It was very hot in the room, making it difficult to sleep.

Very didappointing

It was clean

Reception area was a mess with luggage blocking the passage, reception desk seriously untidy and receptionist dismissive. Not given a guest pass which would have saved us the cost of the chair lifts plus we were Told later we should have asked for one but of course as a newly arrived tourist we weren’t aware of the offer. The hallway was crammed full of bags of laundry, mop and vacuum. The breakfast room was ridiculously crammed with guests and staff bumping into each other and guests having to share tables and getting off their chair to let others slide out to go to the buffet. . We booked a room 6 months in advance asking for a room with a good view. Our room had a side balcony looking over the garden to the house next door and we could see into the bedroom next door and they could see into ours. When we asked for a better room we were told they were fully booked. We were so disappointed in our stay that we booked elsewhere for 2 nights on top of the cost of our stay at hotel Bischlerhoff which had been already paid. The hotel has too many bedrooms at the expense of the guest dining/ sitting room. The sitting room is actually the dining room/ breakfast room. I would not recommend this hotel.

Beautiful German hotel with a wonderful staff and fabulous location.

The hotel staff was very helpful. Location was wonderful. Breakfast menu had something for everyone. Beds were very comfortable. The food in Mittenwald was some of the best on our trip. The cliff walk and the walk to the nearby lake were amazing.

Upper floor rooms were hot at night even with the windows open. The indoor pool is nice, but really more for those using the sauna/spa. It isn’t really designed for kids to use. Our grandchildren did swim some- and no issues with them using it- but we left when other guests wanted to use it..

Mittenwald is a beautiful Alpine town.

Breakfast nook was beautiful. Buffet selection was good. Watermelon for breakfast was a plus.

Highly recommend Bichlerhof to anyone looking to experience the town of Mittenwald and surrounding area

Very clean, beautifully presented and well maintained. The staff were all fantastic and did their very best to accommodate my poor German vocabulary! The room was cleaned daily, mini bar restocked and towels changed as and when required. The pool was lovely but unfortunately the sauna was off when I went to try it. Location was off the Main Street but not by much, a 10 min walk from the train/bus station.

One morning I didn’t have hot water which was very quickly fixed (it affected the hotel guesthouse) but other than that, nothing!

Very good location in the town, pleasant staff, the dining room seemed a bit cramped and crowded at times. The room itself was nice, we had everything we needed.

The Bavarian fairytale resort

The property is very close to the Bahnhof and the city center. Tasty food and good amenities like sauna, massage, swimming pool and steam bath. the staffs were very friendly especially Anna! she was a sweet heart♥️ The staffs could also speak good English. The room with the view is everything one could ask for. On the whole we enjoyed our stay 😊

Convenient and comfortable for one night. Glorious view of the mountains in the morning.

As an overnight stop on train journey through Germany and on down through Italy, this was fine. Convenient to the train station, perfectly acceptable accommodation. Warm room, plenty of space and balcony. View from balcony to the sun catching the mountains in the morning. Good breakfast.

More of a B&B than a hotel, not a problem for us, but all apparently ‘closed’ downstairs in the evening with the lights off. Not a huge problem, as other bars and restaurants open in town and only staying one night.

Pleasant stay but not worth the price.

Fantastic location as it is at the city centre and the view of the snow-clad mountains from the balcony is worth remembering. Breakfast has a good number of options and the waitress is nice and approachable. The staff are generally kind and friendly and can speak decent English.

The room we stayed in did not appear like what we saw in the pictures i.e. with the one we booked. It seemed much smaller and older. One of the table lamps were not working. They could have offered one bottle of mineral water for free upon arrival, as we usually get it in most hotels. The bath robes that we received were damp. My swimming goggles and cap were kept in the Sauna area for a few hours and they got lost when I went to get them. The staff could not locate them either. The pillow cases were not clean enough.
