Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional, with plenty of choices. Location was absolutely perfect, right in the center of town. The guest card was a nice addition but the weather did not cooperate. The hotel is perfectly situated to take part in walks and hikes without the need for a car.

We would have appreciated an extra luggage stand, the space provided was only suitable for one suitcase. There was plenty of closet space but we were only staying for 2 nights and for this reason we do not empty our cases.

The location was perfect, right in the centre but with a view of the mountains. Also it was a decent sized room with a great shower, hot and powerful. There was a really good selection at breakfast which was topped up regularly

The entrance to the hotel was a bit strange, it opened up to what seemed like garages and a few buildings

Great hotel in a fantastic location which we would stay at again despite a couple of issues

Great hotel in a beautiful setting with a highlight being the high-quality free spa facilities and pool. The organic restaurant was nice and served enjoyable, healthy food. Breakfast was also very varied (the best of our trip).

Unfortunately the bar was closed by 10pm (on a Sunday) so we couldn't go down for an evening drink/tea, which was a shame since there also wasn't a kettle/mugs in the room. The other issue was a waiter in the restaurant who made us feel unwelcome and somewhat of a nuisance despite us booking in advance. However, the other waiters and staff were very friendly!

A very comfortable stay in a charming hotel.

The hotel was close to the train station and in the center of town but very quiet. I liked the old world charm of the hotel - wood furnishings, newspapers in the grand lobby, and the lodge-like feel. The buffet breakfast had a variety of hot and cold food choices.

Location, staff responsiveness.

The remodeled bathroom would be a challenge for most. I had to climb into the deep tub (over my knees) with no safety hand rails. There was no tub mat and I had to keep requesting an extra towel to put on the floor of the tub to not get hurt slipping around on the smooth bottom. The mirror has no light, the walls, no hooks, and the round faucet handles were hard to open and close especially when your hands are wet (or arthritic). Getting in and out of the tub was the worst. esp. with it being so high, and with nothing but the tub to hold on to. The towel rack is there, but it moves and is hard to reach so it didn't help. . Quite the surprise in inconvenience and safety, given the expense and effort made for it to look nice.

As always a very good hotel and location in a delightful Alpine village.

I have stayed at the Post Hotel several times. As always it is an excellent choice in a lovely Alpine village. However this year it rained every day which was disappointing and the comfort of the hotel was even more appreciated to escape the rain!

My only comment is that the lighting in my room (and on previous occasions) while good for the environment and the cost of electricity for the hotel, could be brighter to make reading in bed, for example, easier.

Lovely authentic and comfortable Barvarian hotel in the southern town of Mittenwald.

Breakfast was good, lots of bread but no pastries. Lots of other food, from cheeses to meats, etc. Excellent coffee machine, and great eggs, bacon and sausage's. My room had a balcony and it was lovely to sit out there and look at the mountains. Parking was good, never had an issue with getting a space, even when the hotel was fully booked. Also, great location...walk out the door and you are in the pedestrian area of Mittenwald.

My only wish would have been a coffee machine in the room.

A charming hotel with friendly staff in a fantastic location

The Post-Hotel is a really nice place to stay. It's a charming building and the friendly, helpful staff made everything very easy. My regret is that I only spent one night there, but I would love to return for a week in the summer to enjoy more of the hikes that are so accessible from this delightful town with its beautiful frescos.

A Fabulous Stay

This was an amazing hotel. The lobby was super spacious with inviting areas to relax in. The front desk people were extremely helpful, answering all of my questions, proving stamps, towels, whatever I needed. My room was plenty spacious snd had a fabulous little balcony from which I could watch the sunset and the storms rolling in. The pool was fantastic, with a great view of the mountains and a clean shower room. It was such a refreshing way to cool off after a day of hiking. The breakfast was plentiful and staff very attentive. The location was superb - easy walking distance to the train and the old town with all the restaurants and quaint shops were right out the back entrance. I had been traveling in Germany / Austria for over 7 weeks and this was, by far, the best accommodation and price. I did not want to leave.

Historic hotel in Bavaria with a view.

I had a room with a balcony that faced the mountains. The hotel is located right at the historic old town. The room was quiet. There were comfortable chairs in the lobby where you could linger and relax. Breakfast was provided and there was a good selection. I thought the price was very good. I loved the town of Mittenwald

Good location, nice room but small facilities

The hotel has an entrance on the main pedestrian street and runs back to the main entrance and car park on the street behind. Ample free parking is a big bonus and lots of food places and small supermarkets nearby. The single room I was in was large with en-suite shower/toilet. The fittings are elegant and plenty of storage/seating. I had a small balcony looking over the town to the mountains. WIFI is reasonable, good enough to stream shows.

I expected better facilities, very small sauna and small pool. Breakfast OK but nothing special. Interior is quite dark but maybe didn't help that it was off season.
