Beautiful mountains, great spot, friendly staff, great price!

Súper friendly staff, classic vibe with a touch of modern, great location, within walking distance to the cable car. The property was very nice, very clean, good food, especially the bread. Great price!

The bed was a little stiff, the blanket was a little small, and the pillows were very soft and thin, next time I would just bring a pillow and an extra blanket, but that is preference, I’m a side sleeper with big shoulders and I roll around a lot so I need a big blanket and a thick supportive pillow. Again, it’s a small thing, I was overall very happy and will probably stay there again.

DISAPPOINTED - mountain view is from the side street + arrogant attitude from the male owner

Although there were some positive aspects to our stay, I feel that the way we were treated left a huge dent on our stay at the property.

- Unfortunately I booked a room with a mountain view, and was given a room on the side street. View was heavily obstructed. I was there with my elderly mother for a whole week celebrating her 70th birthday so I had previously asked about the view via message, and it was confirmed that we will actually have a mountain view. Once in the room I complained to who I assume was the owner. His attitude left much to be desired. I asked to be relocated to a room having a balcony on the front of the property, however he claimed that such rooms were single rooms and could not accommodate two people. Alternatively, I asked if it was possible to get a refund since we were extremely disappointed about the view. At first he asked me to find an alternative accommodation, and we would discuss said refund. However once back in the room, he came knocking and took me out in the balcony, to show me the mountains with a very arrogant attitude. To see the mountains, you have to lean over the balcony. When I re-confirmed that this was not what I was promised, he said that he never had any complaints. When asking about the refund, since I had found an alternative accommodation elsewhere, he said NO, and also went ahead to say that had my booking not been pre-paid already, he would have called the police on me. Obviously we had to stay there, because I was not willing to pay another property and leave him my money. The owner also told me that if I wanted a better view, I should have booked a cottage in the forest or the mountains and pay 500EUR - 1,000EUR per night. For this property I paid around 200EUR per night, with a bill of close to 1,400EUR. It was never about the money, because I obviously was ok with the 1,400EUR, however, provided that we get what we were promised. This situation left us in a very uncomfortable position for a whole week.

Perfect location close to town and hikes. Beautiful clean, well equipped room with balcony looking out to mountains. Excellent breakfast and lovely afternoon coffee and cake. Wonderful friendly staff. Great value.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms with the mountain view are so nice. Beds are comfy but could be small for large size people. You may need to ask for another pillow if you like higher incline for your head while sleeping. The room is clean and the furniture is nice. Internet is fast and free. There is a supermarket about 100m away.

The hotel was very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The parking is onsite, and the woman who took care of breakfast was very sweet. The highlight was walking out the front door and seeing the Alps towering above.

Superb

This was my 3rd stay at this guesthouse and would come again. This time I travelled alone and thus booked a single room for a week, which was great, good size, modern, very clean, good price, no complaints. It's 5 minutes from the 2 main streets with restaurants and shops, a couple of minutes away from the supermarket and a 10 min walk at most from the train/bus station.

I have nothing but praise for Hotel Franziska. The rooms with balcony and good amenities were spacious, good storage space, comfortable bathroom with excellent shower (which is not always the case!). Daily cleaning excellent. Above average and very good breakfast. Very nice staff. Very good location for excursions.

It is just a pity that the hotel does not have its own restaurant or at least the possibility to have a draft beer in the evening after the hike. But the brewery is right across the street and there are plenty of excellent restaurants in the area, so it's not such a shame.

Schönes Hotel in sehr guter Lage. Unser Zimmer war sehr gut ausgestattet mit einem neuen Bad. Auch die Freundlichkeit der Inhaber Familie ist hervorzuheben, wir haben uns jeden Tag willkommen gefühlt. Im Übrigen war auch das Frühstück jeden Morgen ein Genuss.

Die Lage ist optimal - man erreicht den Ortskern in wenigen Gehminuten. Das Frühstücksangebot war vielfältig. Insgesamt war der Aufenthalt toll - das Personal war nett und alles war sehr sauber. Wir haben uns vom ersten Tag an sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Entspannter Urlaub in den Bergen

Großzügige Zimmer, ortstypisch rustikal, modernes neues Bad, Nachmittagskaffee. An viele Kleinigkeiten wurde gedacht, z.B. das spontane Ausleihen von Regenschirmen. Bücher in manchen Zimmern zum Ausleihen. Das Personal hat gern alle Wünsche erfüllt. Zimmer sauber, Reinigung täglich, es wurde nachgefragt, ob man eine Reinigung wünscht.

Am Buffet könnte noch einiges verbessert werden. Es ist zwar alles da, aber z.B. nur gekochte Eier, (Rührei, Spiegelei?) Kaffee in Thermoskannen abfüllen könnte hilfreich sein, dann muss man nicht so schnell trinken, bevor er kalt wird. Viele Speisen waren abgepackt, was zwar sehr zweckmäßig ist, aber nicht schön für ein Buffet. Es gab nur Filterkaffee, keinen Vollautomaten, was in der Gastronomie nun wirklich Standard ist.

Das ganze Haus sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet sehr sauber. Personal sehr freundlich. Inhaber hat uns persönlich begrüßt, uns die Zimmer gezeigt. Sehr aufmerksam. Mein Mann hatte Geburtstag, morgens zum Frühstück brachte uns am Frühstücktisch 3 Piccolos und mein Mann wurde ganz herzlich gratuliert. Frühstück sehr lecker. Haus war nicht groß, klein aber sehr fein, genau auf unseren Geschmack. Wir werden wieder kommen.

Alles prima!

Das Hotel ist mit viel Liebe eingerichtet und hat eine schöne Atmosphäre. Es ist sauber und alle die dort arbeiten sind freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Balkon war auch blitzsauber und man guckt direkt auf den Berg. Zum gemütlichen sitzen gab es einen Sessel und ein Sofa. Ich habe gut in dem Bett geschlafen. Das Frühstück ist liebevoll der Hotel Größe angepasst und wird mit Sekt Angebot abgerundet. Zur Kaffeezeit steht Kaffe bereit mit kleinem Snack dazu. Es ist nicht weit vom Bahnhof und Altstadt entfernt. Es gibt Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants in der Nähe. Alles schnell zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es hat mir alles gefallen!!
