One of the worst accommodations I’ve stayed in under booking.com

Centrally located near shops, restaurants,station

3rd floor (apartment 5) without elevator and steep stairs. Good luck if you have to lug 2 huge luggage up. Door opened onto stairs without any landing. Heating (except for small electric heater which you have to shuffle between living and bedroom) not sufficient. Central heating (radiators) only turned after 2nd day after complaining and even then, didn’t work and was worse as it gave out sound of running water whole night long in the bedroom which ruined your sleep.

The washing machine was at the basement and that is also payable. Very limited kitchenwares / kitchenettes. At least oil should have been provided.

Apartment in a great location! Decent space - would stay again.

Great location - walkable to nearly anywhere within Interlaken! Apartment was spacious and had any necessary things one might need on a day to day basis. Surprised by how comfortable the bed was! You learn not to expect much when traveling but this mattress was decent - comparatively!

The shower head was broken - it sprayed everywhere! As someone with textured hair that has a hard time if it gets wet, this made it difficult to shower properly. Pillows are very flat and provide no support.

It is a good sized apartment in a great location and a new mattress and pillows would make it a much better stay.

Great location, clean and kitchen had everything you needed.

Despite seeing previous comments about the bed and pillows we thought the owner may have addressed it by now but it hasn’t been. The bed is very soft and there is only two pillows (so one per person) which are very thin had to fold them over to didn’t feel like you were just lying on the bed. Think it is pretty standard to have four pillows on a double bed. Also the shower door doesn’t shut and it’s very small so think of that if you are tall.

Good

Location is fantastic. Good communication from host with instructions how to get to lock box. There is a cafe right opposite that's amazing. Had everything we needed for a short stay.

Unit was small, different from photos, and smelled of tobacco smoke (from previous guest or another room - not sure). It did what we needed (place to sleep, shower, and store our luggage) but I'm glad we hadnt planned eating in during the stay or stayed much longer.

Located in good access to railway station & supermarket Great coffee shop & breakfast right opposite Kitchen pretty well equipped

Washing machine was not in apartment as advertised It was in basement which meant we had to hang around for washing Pillows were appalling but that seems to be a Swiss thing There was a great deal of thumping all night from apartment above (not host’s fault) & street below was noisy till very late Advertised city views which was a stretch of imagination!

Fab location in a cosy apartment - just bring a pillow!

Location was absolutely fabulous and right opposite a popular cafe. We had apartment 5 and although initially we were disappointed to not have a terrace/balcony, we loved the height of being at the very top (you had a small view of the mountain) and it was very cosy. The living spaces were great - it felt spacious for two people - and the sheets and towels were all very clean smelling (other than the cushions on the couch). Also, Glen who you liaise with was very responsive, so that was good. We were only there for two nights, but because of the lay out you could definitely stay for longer and not feel claustrophobic. The bed mattress was comfy, but do bring bed pillows as they have used Lundtrav 60-50cm ikea cushions on the bed, which is like sleeping on nothing.

The pillows on the bed were absolutely terrible!! I read this in the other reviews and thought it couldn't be that bad, but then realised they weren't proper pillows but rather Lundtrav Ikea cushions of 50-60cm diameter (so unable to even properly fit in a pillow cover). Unless they replace the cushions on the bed (major let down) recommend you do pack your own pillow. Also, the couch in the living room was comfy but the cushions smelt terrible, so also need replacing. One review also mentioned the pealing non-stick frying pan, which you can't use at all - luckily there were two pots, so I just used them. Finally, the lock on the front door doesn't work from the inside, so we had to put a chair their in the hope no one would enter, as we were unable to lock the door. The lock does need to be replaced.

Had one great day up the mountains, then it rained ☹️

Top floor meant no overhead noise from other occupants. Close to train station & shops.

Kitchen design & facilities were lacking. The one & only frypan should be replaced with something good. Add teaspoons at least. Add another trial power outlet adjacent to fridge for appliance use. Labels on the light switches for the cellar & laundry area need clear labelling. Add washing cost label to coin unit. Add direction of handle turn arrow to front door. Add instruction that it is a sliding door…omg.

The location is good but furnishings need updating.

The location was good. Apartment was clean. Was able to store luggage for early arrival.

Even though the kitchen was well equipped, the frying pan needed changing as all the non-stick coating was peeling off so was not useable. The kitchen needs more ventilation. Tried to cook breakfast and the fire alarm went off. The kitchen and bathroom was updated but the dresser was old and broken. There is nowhere to hang your clothes. The furniture in the living and dining area needs updating. Also the city pass that was provided was not valid as it was not stamped and dated. It was embarrassing because we got stopped by the transit police.

Location was central and walking distance from train station. Apartment was comfortable and clean. Kitchen was well equipped, supplied with coffee pods, small chocolates etc.

A nice apartment in a central location with easy access to the train station

Good location, handy to the train station and the centre of town. The apartment was in an old building that had been converted and was limited in size but had lovely big windows so was light and airy. We were on the first floor looking over the street. It was clean and reasonably well-equipped and serviced a couple times during our stay.

We'd had a tiring and rather eventful journey so the last thing I wanted to do was wrestle with a lock box that was very difficult to open to get the apartment keys. The lock box was looking a little battered so I'm sure I wasn't the only person to have had a problem with it!

Very dirty and disappointing

The location was good although we would not describe it as "city view".

Upon checkin, our room had not been cleaned from the previous guests and we had to call staff as an emergency to be put in a different room for the night. Once moving to our pre-booked and pre-paid room the next day, the bed linen still stunk of dirty feet and we again had to call staff to come and change it and ensure everything was clean. The kitchen tap had better water pressure than the shower head, and it was overall a very disappointing experience. For what we paid we were expecting (and could have found elsewhere) far higher quality of room, amenities, cleanliness, and conformt.

The location is great- close to station, information and grocery store. I was able to use the washing machine. Easy to get into- actually ready early.

No lift access and this was a top-floor apartment, so if you carry a lot or if you have limited movement/pregnancy it’s not the best. Also the bed was not the most comfortable (ikea quality)

Perfect stay for a couple or small family - even for an extended trip.

The location is great. It's centrally located and quite easy to get to. The cafe opposite the apartment is fantastic- definitely try it out! The host was generous to let us keep our luggage in the storage room before we checked in and after. The place was sufficiently large and very nice. Special thumbs up to the host.

The bathroom shower curtain! It was super annoying and wouldn't stay in place. It was hard to take a shower without having water all over the bathroom. Otherwise, everything was great.
