Not what I expected.

It was close to my location where I needed to be.

Coming into the entrance, there's rubbish everywhere in the front room. I had no wifi for a week, even though they said they'll sort it out. I've also messaged them about it, and never even received a reply.

Felt like home

I'm sorry it took so long for me to post this. This was my second stay at the property, from 16-18 December 2025. I left a review for my previous stay (20-23 November 2025.) All I can really add is that my hosts were once again super-accommodating and very kind. I hope all their Christmases are wonderful, in characterful Peterborough.

Lovely - I hope to stay if/when visiting Peterborough again.

I loved the big cosy bed, the warmth of the bedroom and bathroom during the cold snap, and the peace. The room being at the back, there was no streetlight penetrating the curtain and I slept very well. The bedroom is spacious and the shower is great! Hosts are nice as others have mentioned. I was also pleased about the availability and proximity of buses. A Day Rider is £6.50.

Nothing. Maybe some salt on the steps up to the apartment during freezing weather. (I should have asked.)

Comfy accommodating and has great potential

I loved that it was like a studio apartment with all the amenities, including a small kitchen. The room was spacious with ample lighting, and the bed was ginormous and comfy. I also liked how soft and big the bathroom towels were. There was a parking space out front, and it was quite centrally located to Peterborough town centre. It seems as though they are still working on it...? The house was huge and lovely, and I can see potential for it being something even more special.

Everything around the room seemed quite cluttered as it is part of a residential home, but it didn't interfere with our stay. It was a little confusing on how to enter as we accidentally walked into the house and front room with our hosts were watching telly.

A perfect retreat for a visit to Peterborough.

An absolute delight meeting Claudine & staying in their beautiful guest house. The bed was huge & comfortable, firestick TV where me & my partner enjoyed a little evening Kareoke & the shower was perfect. It was very peaceful & I enjoyed hearing the birds in the evening. Was a nice change to the traffic I hear roaring past my window every day. Lovely large garden view & the owners was very flexible with our arrival time & they was happy to have us have our takeaway delivered to the property. We had a nice little kitchenette in the room with a fridge & hob so we was able to store cold food & do some cooking. Thankyou, we hope to be back some day ⚘️

Fine for our short stay

The apartment was very clean and spacious, appreciated the refreshments.

The bed was hard, we could feel the base through the mattress, we resolved it by sleeping on top of the duvet.

The host was flexible and friendly. We arrived later than expected because we were working late and we lost track of in the morning so we left late. Lovely little property and it was perfect for us

We had a comfortable stay, we would love to book again.

Good Location, car parking great, comfortable room lots of space, inside apartment nice and tidy, very quiet place. Shower working great, Managed to communicate through email. Great Internet. Cooking oil, tea coffee and milk it was a bonus even though we did not use it. We loved it.

Apartment Very dusty, shower and toilet room very dusty, including skirting boards , outside apartment untidy. Phone was not going through but managed through email. Fridge handle needs fixing.

Bad experience

There were stains in the bed . infact the room was not cleaned as they were bodily fluid stain on the bed and dirt that was left on one side of the room. hair strand on the bed. I had to turn the pillo case inside out.

My only issue with the place is the cleanliness. if its clean its not a bad place to stay for the price. As it quite close to the location of my programme in peterborough.

Host was friendly and welcoming. Situated within walking distance of town centre and 15 minute drive to the motorway.

Convenient location, well stocked tea and coffee. My room had microwave, fridge and hob plus pans crockery and cutlery. Ample wardrobe and drawer space for single person.

Bed was rather low for me.

Everything you need

I definitely recommend staying at this property. Very spacious bedroom with a queen size bed & a very nice private bathroom. Everything was clean and the bathroom was stocked with lots of useful toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, soaps, body washes, toothpaste & even body lotion!) The tv was also a decent size and it had everything you would need on it (netflix, itvx, prime etc) The house is very easy to find and it’s in a very convenient location. The hosts were very nice and friendly, truly made us feel welcome. Also the garden is very beautiful and a nice peaceful place to sit in the evening. Will definitely come back :)

Property with potential but needs attention to detail! dirty!

Bathroom was clean, room was spacious and had smart TV

Curtain broken which let the light come in first thing in the morning, the mattress was very stained, so much dust under the bed, microwave full of crumbs underneath and towels like sand paper! Property has huge potential but attention to detail is much needed.
