Excellent stay for work or visiting the area

Great find and would stay again!

This was the first time I had taken my five year old daughter away alone and I felt so safe and comfortable here. The room was lovely and spotless, great shower and little touches like toiletries and biscuits were in the room. We were also able to put a couple of drinks in the fridge in the kitchen. No problems parking at all.

The only small thing which I was expecting was the sound of the traffic that woke us up early.

A beautiful property. Will be back again!

The property is super modern and exceptionally clean and tidy. Right opposite a gorgeous pub with yummy fire cooked fresh pizzas (see pic). Tea, coffees and fluffy towels provided and shampoo and conditioner in the showers, which was an added bonus! The host Abbey is very kind and accommodating and really couldn’t have asked for more for our overnight stay. For those who say it’s on a busy, noisy road.. it is on a bus road but there is parking available opposite and the position was incredibly convenient to what we needed! Will definitely visit again!

If there was one thing I would suggest is to have a coat hanger inside the room (fixed to the door or somewhere like that) as this would’ve been the only thing we needed. That’s literally all I can think of, which is a teeny tiny little thing. Not exactly a game changer!

Couldn't fault it.

The self-checkin was simple and straightforward. The room was very clean and well presented. The beds were super-comfy and the shower had great water pressure. Would not hesitate to recommend, or return the next time we visit Alton Towers.

Lovely Place and Host!

Absolutely gorgeous room, very well kept there was enough space for 4 of us, the house itself is gorgeous and well looked after, Abbey is also a superb host, she was very accommodating and we had absolutely no issue with staying here whatsoever x

Stayed here with my 13 and 15 year old for a trip to Alton towers. Location was brilliant, short drive away. Plenty of amenities in the town and a pub opposite the property. The host was very welcoming, arrival instructions very clear and easy to follow. Room was very clean and comfortable, we had it set up with 3 beds which was ideal. Tea/coffee was provided which was great. Plenty of space for the 3 of us.

The room was neat, compact and nicely appointed. The beds were soft and very comfortable. Shower was great. We really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage is located on the corner of 2 busy roads and the traffic was noisy.

The room was clean and was big enough, the facilities were modern and plenty of and finally, there were many local sites and shops in the local area if you need them.

The only complaint is that it was a bit tricky to find as there was no sign on the front saying name of hotel/place.

I stayed in the twin room with my son when we came to visit Alton towers (20 minute drive) house is stunning and beautifully finished to a high spec. Easy to access and easy instructions sent. Great list of places to eat given too!

Great little place to stay

Great host, very friendly and helpful. Lovely place to stay - clean, well furnished and comfy. Easy check in/out process. The rooms are upstairs so something to keep in mind with regards to bags/mobility. Overall, we were very happy with our stay and defo recommend it!

Busy traffic outside but with the windows closed, you can hardly hear it. Be aware that it's room only (there's tea/coffee and a kettle available in the room though).

Nice room.

Everything seemed new and tidy. The bed was comfortable. The shower was superb. Internet access was fast.

The room was strongly scented, too much for my comfort as it irritated my breathing. There were no hard flat surfaces to rest a computer on. No comfortable chair. I didn't like leaving my shoes downstairs. Cameras. Booking.com sent the wrong pin code for the key safe, so I spent some time outside until I checked other messages. The road outside sometimes had loud traffic (joyriders?)

Friendly, cosy, comfortable and clean

The room was so comfortable and I slept amazingly well in the large bed. I felt super safe very safe as a solo female traveller and the host, Abbey, was super friendly and accommodating. It was easy to lark across the road in a designated spot.

Comfortable ,clean & fantastic value

Lovely size room , very comfortable , the bathroom is lovely ! Great shower with lovely shampoo , conditioner & shower gel to use . The bed was huge & super comfy , tea & coffee facilities as well as yummy luxury biscuits . Sofa in the room so we didn’t have to sit on the bed all the time which was great , loved the lamps in the room it made it cosy . The house was lovely, very clean and homely , we felt really comfortable . Easy to find , easy parking , lovely dairy farm up the road selling fresh milkshakes , ice cream & cakes . Pub across the road had great food & friendly staff . Abbey was a fantastic host , nothing was to much trouble , quick responses to any messages . Lots of local flyers in the room , we visited monkey forest & the dairy farm both we found from the flyers and were brilliant additions to our trip ! We will defo stay again next time we go to Alton towers .

Fabulous host and excellent room

Abbey was very friendly and helpful. She sent lots of information in advance and introduced herself when we arrived. The room was set up beautifully and was spotless. It had everything you needed even a great fan which was useful due to it being so hot.

The only down side was traffic noise.

Safe and comfortable

Abbey was very helpful with all her correspondence and check in was easy, the room was comfortable and well furnished, the large walk in shower was great. Tea/coffee and toiletries provided are a lovely touch. I stayed with my wife for a week and felt very safe and comfortable here. Thank you Abbey.

My friend and I are already planning another trip, with intention to stay here again.

Lovely spacious bedroom, with a great sized en-suite. The property was very clean and homely. The host, abbey. Was delightful, very helpful and very happy to help. She was very warm and welcoming, and pleasant to talk to, she was even kind enough to email me, with glowing recommendations for local facilities, and distances. My friend and I thought this was very helpful and nice of her.

Very nice room and very nice host all at a great price; worth the stay and I would stay again.

First of all the owner was very good and very helpful in her communications. The room was very nice and the very well looked after (to the point where I was asked to take shoes off just in the main door to keep carpets clean, which to me is a good sign). The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom very good with large shower, and there was a TV with Freeview channels plus Apps such as Netflix, plus tea/coffee/bsicuits in room. I would definitely recommend staying here for the great host, the lovely room and good location to access the local area. Note it was a room in a house with a few other rooms (and upper floor where the host lives I believe) but was totally suitable for my needs.

Minor points really but would be better to have curtain on the window as very bright in morning with just wooden slats which might affect some people. Also the room is not air conditioned as stated in booking.com; it does have a very good Dyson blower to blow the air around but it does not chill the air, which might be an issue for someone who requires low temperatures to sleep (aircon tends to be only in hotels to be fair).

Would highly recommend staying here if your not bothered by the car noises

The property is very clean and tidy and the owner is lovely and accommodating. She even helped organise birthday decorations for my girlfriends birthday which was a lovely touch

The only one thing is the main road is next to the property so if you need to sleep with windows open then you will hear all the car noises

We had a fantastic weekend stay! From the moment we arrived, the host was extremely polite and welcoming, which immediately made us feel at home. We stayed in the Field View bedroom, and it was excellent. The room was very spacious, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the view outside was absolutely beautiful — a perfect way to start and end the day. The bathroom was equally impressive, with a luxurious feel and a fantastic shower. Every detail of the stay was well thought out, making it a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. I would 100% recommend this booking to anyone looking for a peaceful and high-quality stay in the area. We’d love to come back!
