Moorville Hall Hotel

We stayed here for a night before Alton towers. It was a room with beds and a bathroom. They seem to be a pretty friendly place but you have to pay for the facilities and it wasn't a shower. At was also very hot in the room. Although it cooled down with the door propped open. I'd certainly recommend it for somewhere to stay for the night. Just don't expect a brand new modern hotel.

We booked a family room and were lucky enough to get 2 rooms that were joined with an inside door. This was perfect as we had 2 older teenagers so we could shut the door for a little peace 2 unwind in the evening. Absolutely loved our feline visitors they definitely enjoyed sharing some fish with us!

Very clean

We wrrived late evening and followed the signs to reception. There was nobody there and desite ringing the bell many times, nobody came. Eventually, we went in through a door and had to search for someone. We did find re etion, butit was nowhere near to where the signs poi ted. We had booked a family room in the hotel but ended up having to walk in pitch black down a pot holed road behind the hotel to what they called a chalet. It was two adjoining motel rooms. This hadn't been mentioned while booking. The rooms were shabby, unclean and felt spooky and unsafe. The door to outside didn't feel secure and the people shouting outside in the early hours made us feel very nervous. We didn't sleep well!! We booked this hotel because it was the cheapest one near Alton Towers but wished we'd paid double to stay somewhere else. To top it all, after getting home, we received a penalty charge notice for parking, even though we had put our number plate into the terminal at reception. Avoid!! We will definitely not be back!!
