Very disappointing. Overpowering smell of weed and unclean bedding and towels

It had 2 separate rooms with ample space. The kitchen was clean.

The telephone number on booking.com was incorrect, you can only get in touch via email where they then give you another phone number. We walked in to the apartment and were hit hard by the smell of cannabis, the shower head was broken, there was hair in the bed, the duvet smelt of body odour (so I question whether it was clean) and the bathroom towel stank of urine. The overall smell of the house was unclean (weed/smoke/dog).

Great location, not the greatest bed...

Iocation was petfect, close to local shop & silkswprth lake, 10 min drive into city centre

Good clean property that needs the end replacing.

Clean and equipped as described.

Double bed very uncomfortable (dipped in middle) sofa bed rock hard! Water heating not on and difficult to set up/ use.

Poorly equipped and managed.

Location.

Boiler was faulty, uncomfortable bed, very poorly equipped apartment. No toaster, no can-opener, no tea spoons, no waste bin in bathroom, bathroom needed a deep clean, dirt, dust and dedris around the pipework and surfaces, no written guest instructions on how things worked. eg could not tune in the TV to get terrestrial channels. The hob ignition was broken making it unsatisfactory to operate. I would imagine the Boiler and hob issues in themselves would not pass a gas safety check, as both the controls on each of those fixtures were broken and the agent handling the check- in remotely was aware of the Boiler issue. The apartment was just about adequate for 1 or 2 nights, but would not have been comfortable staying any longer. As the cost of the apartment was on the lower end of the scale, we just got on with it as it was only a short visit. Honestly though, not even a tea spoon provided is pretty poor management.

A place to stay near Sunderland City, but without all the noise and fuss.

The location is 4 miles out of Sunderland centre, ((just a £9 taxi ride). It's quiet, albeit in a Council estate type of area. However, we did not experience any noise or nuisance whatsoever, and parking behind the building in a private off-road car park was most useful and quiet.

I'm of the impression that this may possibly be the owner's first venture into property letting, but clearly he is on a controlled budget, but succeeds in providing all the necessities, and the flat is clean and tidy.

Would definitely return if I needed a place to stay for work.

A perfect location and set up for stop overs or for someone needing somewhere to stay if travelling for work.

Would have preferred a solid front door instead of one with glass panes in. Created a lot of light at night from the corridor and didn't feel particularly private.

We have had to book somewhere local to my sister in law who unfortunately has just months to live. Dundee has been amazing. Will be using this place loads as a base to visit my sister in law. Place is lovely and clean has all amenities you could need

We stayed here as a base as it is close to our sister/sister in law who is unfortunately really unwell. We will be looking to use this as a base over the coming months to visit/make memories

No toilet roll Was the only down fall only because I was bursting for the toilet on arrival 🙈 The owner of the actual building needs to do something about the awful stale cigarette smell in the entrance and up the stairs, luckily it doesn’t transfer into the apartment.

Flat was cold and without heating.

Boiler faulty, so no hot water and heating. Bathroom basin blocked so unusable, but to be fair previous occupants may not have told the owner, so benefit of the doubt to the owners. TV no aerial, just a firestick, which complicated the issue.
