Big property with lots of space

Property was much bigger than we expected and exactly what we needed. Beds were comfy, kitchen had the utensils we needed, living room had comfy sofas and enough space for us all. Washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher were a lovely luxury! Secure drive for a car/2 smaller cars. Really easy check-in with keybox. Hosts were friendly and always on hand to message!

A nice large house to host a family group.

The house was spacious and clean. It was walkable to the Stadium of Light (we were in Sunderland to attend a sporting event). The property was extremely good value for the money.

Parking was difficult. The house was perfectly clean, but everything seemed a bit worn-out.

Okay but the bed linen needs replacing

Location was very good for us as we were visiting family nearby. Owners did try to resolve issues when we contacted them and they replied promptly. Off street parking available for small / medium sized car.

It was fine but the thing that really let it down were the smells. Specifically the fridge, towels and the bed linen. The linen and towels smelt foisty, like they hadn't been dried properly. To be fair we did contact the owners about it and they sent their cleaner back in. They provided fresh towels which were appreciated but I had to borrow bed linen to cover up the smell while sleeping. The fridge smelled of rotten salami or something like that. Apart from that, the house was clean and well maintained. If they replace the bed linen and properly deodorise the fridge this would be a decent enough (7 or 8/10) place to stay.

.Minor leakages in the ground-floor bedroom. .Noticeable signs of leakage/ cracks under the staircase .No full-length mirror in the house or in the rooms. .Single-bedroom bed(upstairs)- Uncomfortable. .Over-grown weeds at the entrance and backyard.

It was roomy and an ideal location. We had easy access to the location and it had a great shower .

I had to wash the oven utensils like pizza holder and that's as they were dirty .when vacuuming I pushed the beds back to find cutlery and toothbrushes along with dust under one .the beds were very soft and narrow so it didnt help my back problem .it could have done with a parking facility too.other that that all was good and it was basically tidy

Superb

Fantastic house, high ceilings, very spacious, amazing shower. Kitchen very well equipped. Off street parking very important, but don't get caught out with restrictions in the back lane.

There were areas which weren't clean, kitchen floor, cupboard handles, tops of doors. One bed downstairs had exceptionally squeaky springs. No mirrors or chair in bedrooms. Only 4 chairs in the kitchen.

The house was in a good location and the beds were comfortable enough.

I stayed here with my partner and 2 year old daughter and the house was not clean at all. The cleanliness in particular in the living spaces was disgusting. The kitchen floor had not been cleaned in any way, the pots and pans had been put away still dirty with food on. The kitchen cupboards had food in them with the lid off. The dishwasher was out of order and iron did not work either and we were not notified prior to arriving. The hall way leading to the kitchen/ livingroom, the walls were thick with dust. In the livingroom the curtain pole was snapped along with the curtains hanging off and as you can imagine, you add this all up along with having a young child running about touching everything, this was not hygienic at all. I contacted the property owner straight away and sent photos of what I had found as stated above. Claire messaged me back and said a cleaner would be round after 6 when we had gone out but our taxi didn't end up coming till 7(out with our control). Inbetween the 6-7 o'clock period the cleaner had come and couldn't gain access to the property as a key was in the door lock, that I had accidentally left in the door. However the cleaner didn't knock the door, as we were all in the livingroom at the time as we we're waiting on the taxi to arrive out front. I didn't state to Claire at any point that they couldn't just send the cleaner in while we were in the property. But I got the vibe from Claire that the property had to be empty to be cleaned which just caused further delays, which I will go onto next. I then explained to Claire that we will be going out in the next 10-15 minutes and the response I got was "that was fine and the cleaner would hang on until we had left". I then got a text after we had went out as per the new agreed time to say the cleaner can't come after 7 now.

There are definitely fleas or something in this house. We’ve all been bitten. It was pretty unclean rubbish was left in the bathroom bins
