A nightmare considering it was supposed to be a Valentine’s break

My wife found a half empty tube of sexual lubricant down the side of the bed, we were kept awake until 4.41am by the property owners child running around and shouting.

Damp room with mould and mouldy odours .. worst place I have ever stayed !

We were in a basement room with mould and the odour of mould. Damp awful room that I don’t think should be used for people to stay in. Was the worse 3 nights ever!

Overall ok for what we needed

Communication excellent throughout. Excellent value for money Tea coffee, biscuits, long life pan au chocolates. Was perfect for what we needed centre of Jewelry quarter 15 mins walk to utility arena . Good pubs and restaurants nearby. Highly recommended the church!

Would have preferred bottled water rather than jugs of water in the fridge but im fussy.

Close to walk to shops Easy to park nearby Clear instructions on how to enter the property. Nice touch of free toiletries, tea coffee, biscuits Hot shower

Quite a small space to walk round, bed not comfortable, pillows too hard, could have done with plates and a teatowel to wipe any cutlery etc Musty smell around the room despite air freshener unit in bathroom . Would have liked more air in room as stuffy. Had to use fan to cool the room down, window covered up. All in all good value for the money paid .

Great little place for an overnight stay

Great location, only 15-20 mins walk from Birmingham New Street. The host sent check-in instructions the day before my arrival, so it was very easy and straightforward to check-in. Don't expect a four-star hotel room, and you won't be disappointed.

Tiny, inexpensive underground flat

Inexpensive, Well decorated (except for the defective tiling) and clean, good shower room, good facilities in tiny bedroom. Helpful response to a question about the tap water. Easy checkin and checkout.

No outside window or natural light at all, just a vent. No privacy whatsoever: our conversation was overheard through the sealed "window" opens into another room. The "flat" is clearly a converted cellar, and some of the conversion, tiling and decor of the bathroom was very roughly finished at ground level. Some grout needs cleaning or replacing.

No window place smells like urine next to the room door was a storage cupboard of sorts that people was using all night so was hard to sleep an the carpet well that's just funny being layed an cut around walldrobes an door etc old carpet that stinks still under it 👍

Did what it said on the tin! Nothing fancy but ok for my needs. Loved the plentiful tea ( good quality tea bags) and cakes. Room was clean as was the shower room. Plenty of gels etc

Despite reading many good reviews, my experience was bad. As a first-time reviewer, I must say my experience in this room was far from pleasant. I sincerely hope no one else has a similar experience. After a tiring workweek, my partner and I were looking forward to a relaxing weekend trip, but unfortunately, the room conditions did not meet our expectations. The room locates in a basement with no windows, which is dusty, stuffy and damp. The room was unclean during my stay. This basement feels like a storage place, with mattresses on the coriander and luggage. The coriander is very dusty. I agree that the room is cleaner than the coriander, but I am unsatisfied with staying. We checked in for half an hour. My partner used the toilet. I sat on the bed to wait for him and book another hotel. Then we left as I felt very uncomfortable and unsafe. If this room were in acceptable condition, I would not book another hotel in the late evening; we both are exhausted from travel. I had a non-refundable booking. I did not expect to receive a refund when we decided to leave. I wanted to share my honest experience about the room's unsatisfied conditions and ask if we can get some refunds. The hotel owner replied to me in a bad manner and said I was not an honest person and some other things. I am disappointed by the hotel owner's response to my concerns. Despite my real account of the room's unclean and uncomfortable conditions, they accused me of dishonesty. I wanted to share my experience with other travellers so they know the potential issues. I hope the hotel owner and booking take steps to improve the cleanliness and safety of their room. I will never book this room again.

A lovely, cosy room in a wonderful neighbourhood

The room is very cosy and homey and the owners clearly put a lot of thought into the setup. The attention to detail is absolutely lovely. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were very clean and come with all the necessary equipment (and more). Both checking in and checking out was completely self-managed and very easy. Thank you for a lovely stay at a great location!
