Great location, warm welcome from fabulous owners. Tastefully decorated, Quality breakfast.

The only one minor issue was the Low water pressure in the shower.

a friendly relaxed place to stay

the hosts Gaynor and Alan are very friendly. the location is close to everything but was very quiet. the breakfast was exceptional...cooked to order with high quality ingredients. the room was very clean and well maintained

I asked for a less heavy quilt on the bed and Gaynor did what she could but I was still too hot

Highly recommended

We had a lovely stay. Harbour house is clean, tidy and the rooms are light and modern. The breakfasts are superb. Allan and Gaynor can't do enough for their guests. It's a great location near to good pubs , restaurants and of course the Harbour itself. Won't stay anywhere else when we return to Weymouth in the future

Harbour House, Weymouth

Gaynor & Alan greeted us very warmly on our arrival just after 1pm. She gave us a choice of two rooms & the one we chose (room 4) was just enough for our needs, double bed, wardrobe, fans, tea/coffee, opening sash window, small bathroom but manageable & a very comfy bed & pillows. Breakfast, which was the full English, in my opinion was probably the best tasting & cooked I've ever had, all cooked & tasted perfect, with toast, cereal, or fruit if you preferred, tea, coffee, orange all available....compliments to Gaynor. The Maitre D...Alan was a font of knowledge of the area, being born here in Portland. He chatted away to us during breakfast & broke the ice for all guests, so it felt like you were all mates by the end. My wife's parents were staying in another guest house (as no rooms left in this one at the time of booking) Theirs did not do breakfast, so Gaynor kindly offered to cook them breakfast for two mornings for a small fee, they were so happy with it & grateful. Would definately stay here again, perfect location by the harbour. We left feeling like we had made a couple of friends.

Much much wrong. Bathroom could have been a little larger but we appreciate that in a building of that age this is not uncommon. Shower was a little difficult to get the temperature right.

Excellent Guest House

Harbour House is in a lovely position between the old harbour and the beach. We had an exceptionally clean room with a bay window overlooking a tree lined road and other amenities. Our double bed was very comfortable, and the rain shower in the bathroom was immaculate. My wife and I agreed that the breakfast that was freshly prepared by Gaynor and presented by Alan was one of the best we have had! We highly recommend Harbour Guest House and will definitely return.

Very enjoyable

Gaynor and Alan were very welcoming and helpful. The room was excellent and the bed very comfy. Breakfast was made even more enjoyable by all guests being seated around a large table giving the opportunity to meet new people and encouraging good conversation, which our hosts joined in.

Great guest house and lovely hosts

Very lovely guest house, the room was small but the layout was very clever and thought through so there was plenty of storage space and everything you needed for your stay. Very clean and well presented. Gaynor and Alan are very lovely hosts who take great care of their guests. I enjoyed breakfast time, sitting around one large table with the other guests ensured very interesting conversations! Great central location and very close to the beach.

The house is beautiful but old so a bit creaky and you do hear people walking around. I had packed earplugs so not an issue for me, but something to note for anyone who is a light sleeper.

What a gem of a place to stay - have been coming to Weymouth for a number of years - wish we had found it sooner!

Perfect location, spotlessly clean, amazingly comfortable bed with beautiful bed linen, super friendly, great breakfast. Honestly I can’t praise this place enough - Gaynor and Alan are doing a fantastic job with the customer’s comfort at the forefront. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

A wonderfully friendly and clean place to stay with a decent breakfast

In a great location near the harbour and surprisingly quiet. Rooms perfectly adequate for what I needed, clean, comfortable, facilities all clean and working as they should. I was greeted warmly on arrival and at breakfast in the morning. The introductions and conversations at breakfast was great as it avoided guests sitting around the table feeling a little awkward. Breakfast was tasty and well cooked

Rooms very fresh, modern and clean. Really well thought out in terms of amenities in the room. Comfy bed too. Breakfast was very social and good food.

As with most hotels in the area, lots of stairs, so check with the owners if you have any mobility issues to avoid 3rd or 4th floors.

Lovely stay

Absolutely delighted with our 2 night stay at Harbour House. Gaynor & Alan were perfect hosts and gave us a warm welcome upon checking in. The property has a quiet location but is ideally situated within a few steps of the Harbour, the seafront and the town centre. Our cosy room was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Breakfast was lovely with a fantastic choice available to suit everyone. Highly recommended

Comfortable, luxurious, welcoming

The location was fantastic, a stones throw from the beach, harbour and the shops. The breakfast was delicious, good quality produce. More than ample breakfast foods and drinks supplied. Fantastic setting at the table with all guests sat together. This was a first for us to sit with other guests at the same table at breakfast, and what an experience! The hosts were exceptional at ensuring you felt looked after, welcomed into the hotel and certainly kept us highly entertained at breakfast! Allan has many funny and interesting tales to tell you! Gaynor and Allan were the perfect hosts in every way, very friendly, and more than happy to get to know you and made you feel at ease staying in their wonderful hotel. We really didn’t want to leave!

Gorgeous comfortable guest house with extremely friendly hosts

Beautiful guest house, Gaynor the owner had literally thought of everything. We even had a fridge in our room which I’ve never had at any guest house before. The room was gorgeous with lovely decor and bathroom, and really comfortable huge bed. Breakfast was delicious and the ‘maitre d’ Alan was hilarious, will 100% be back
