Amazing place, don't hesitate to stay here!

What an amazing surprise! Such a beautifully decorated cottage which was warm and welcoming. We were hesitant to stay in Plav during our Peaks of the Balkan hike because we didn't want to be in a city, but this place is well situated just a few minutes walk from town and still felt like you were in the quiet countryside. We would return to Plav just to stay here again. Friendly, welcoming host gave us a great dinner recommendation. This place is wonderful!

Amazing, beautiful and quiet stay

Absolutely phenomenal stay, beautiful view surrounded by hills and trees. The location is comfortable, easy to get groceries from the town, but quiet place for the houses. The host is very nice, met us at the place. Responses quickly. Well equipped kitchen, was easy to cook, and fantastic heating. Comfortable beds. And also beautiful design!

A warm, nostalgic wooden cabin stay with vintage charm and a caring host

We spent a weekend at Salerno Camp with the family, and overall it was a cozy, memorable experience. The owner was very kind, messaging me in advance to ask when we’d arrive so he could light the stove beforehand - a thoughtful touch, especially since it was snowing that evening. He showed us around, explained everything, and was easy to reach. The house itself is like a little vintage museum, full of charming details like an old Singer sewing machine, a Gavotte radio by Telefunken, and classic kerosene lanterns (some real, some replicas). There’s a woven rug on every step, and everything from the furniture to the walls is made of wood. Honestly, sitting near the wood stove with an oven, while the weather outside is gloomy - that’s peak comfort. The location is great, within walking distance (15 minutes) from Plav’s center, where you’ll find shops, restaurants, and the lake. Despite feeling tucked away, you’re not isolated at all.

For winter stays, heat loss is a real issue - cold air seeps in through the windows and balcony door. Sure, you can survive with blankets, the stove, and an electric heater, but it wouldn’t be hard or expensive to seal things up properly. In the bathroom, there was no handheld shower, just a fixed overhead one, and where the hand shower should have been was literally just a hole. Also, the faucet was stuck, so you couldn’t switch the flow - overhead only. Manageable, but still a miss. There were no towels in the house, just one tiny one in the bathroom and one in the kitchen. I called the owner in the morning and he brought more within 10 minutes (which was great!), but again, this could easily be avoided with more attention to detail. Lastly, we were not placed in the cabin we originally booked. The one we got was nice too, but when you make a specific choice, it’s fair to expect exactly that.

Our stay at the one bedroom house and the holiday house was comfortable and enjoyable.

The property was beautiful. We rented both the one bedroom house and a holiday house. We enjoyed the added touch of seeing flowers out of every window. Both places had everything we needed and were comfortable. The property hosts were helpful, professional, and polite. We washed our clothes And hung them out on the clothesline to dry. The showers had great pressure and plenty of hot water, and liquid soap was provided in the shower. We enjoyed our stay.

We had no complaints about the property.

Nice stay

Nice hut with enough space for 4 people. We were allowed to leave our car parked at the camp during our Peaks of the Balkans trail.

The mosque was super loud in the morning. The Toilet seat in our cabin was broken. Breakfast was comparably small.

Lovely little house well equipped for a wholesome stay in Plav.

Excellent stay towards the end of the Peaks of the Balkans hike. Private little house with everything we could need, well located just outside the centre, still within easy walking distance of a swim in the lake. Our host was very friendly and accommodating. We used the washing machine too which was handy during a long trek.

Friendly hosts and nice stay

We were allowed to keep our car parked until we finished our peaks of the balkan tour. Hosts were super responsive and nice, and the hut was big enough to accommodate us 4.

The mosques are super loud at 6 am. This is not a downside of the Camp as the mosques can be heard throughout the city - it is rather an information to make you aware of the fact.

A great location in Plav, either as an overnight or for a longer stay

Very luxurious cabin with everything you could possibly need. It felt a bit wasteful to only stay here for one night. The host was very helpful, bringing us dinner and breakfast and even giving us a lift in his 4WD up the track towards Vusanje, which is a part of the trail where it's recommended to use a vehicle if possible.

Cottages near Prokletije national park

Communication with the host was easy as they speak English. Everything is like you see in the pictures - just be aware that they have two sizes of properties - cottages (3 of them) and than one bigger house. We have stayed in the smaller cottage (3 beds, one sofa in living room) with family of four and it was ok for 3 nights stay. Great location close to National park (car needed, if you want to explore different locations), our kids had a lot of space around the property to play, walking distance to the shops and restaurants. No air condition available, just one fan, but it was completely ok, as we were out during the day and in the evening it was very nice to sleep with open window.

House with a soul

The house is just a perfection. From the moment we entered the house, we could feel it has a soul. It's much cozier than it looks at photos, the terrace is just great for evening chill with mountain view. The host was super friendly too, it was easy to find the location and collect the keys, we were also welcomed with some water and fruits. If you have an option to stay here, please DO, we regret that we only had one night there, I wish we stayed longer

A little jewel in a beautiful garden surrounded with mountains: a place you feel home and welcomed!

Very hospitable people and place. The entire experience was a very pleasant one: communication, the ease of getting in, meeting the host, the fact that every little detail was considered, basket full of fruits which you really eat. To say it is located in a very nice garden is not to say much, it is surrounded with fruit trees with some of the best apples (I picked a few, and it felt like home), you have nice terraces to enjoy the sunrise and sunset, singing birds, and the hospitality of Plav and its people. I rented the place 2 times in 2 weeks.

Super comfortable, spacious accommodation & great views

What a lovely surprise to arrive at a quaint looking ranch, just built and with everything you need including an outside table and chairs. There’s even a small wooden deck. The views are great, the host left a bowl of fruit, tea/coffee and sorted out transport for us the following day. This was the easiest and most comfortable stay we had on our trip.

A cozy getaway on the Peaks of the Balkans trail

What a lovely getaway! We hiked the Peaks of the Balkans trail and booked this house in Plav to relax a bit halfway our trip. The house is absolutely wonderful, beautifully decorated and super cozy. There’s a nice terrace, a washing machine and a kitchen with all you need to do some cooking. The house is situated perfectly for those hiking the Peaks of the Balkans, the route leaving Plav towards Vusanje is just a few minutes walking away.

Mountain fairytale

This is an amazing choice for Plav and the surroundings. You get a fully equipped and very pretty house with a big green field and a nice garden around, an overall feeling of being very far in nature while you're actually a few minutes from the center. It is clean and nicely done, functional, parking in front, good WiFi, a little kitchen, etc. Exactly like in the pictures, even prettier. The host is excellent, pleasant and experienced with welcoming guests there. Overall a really good deal for this area, an up and coming gem of Montenegro, warmly recommended for mountain tourism.

Perfect house for 5/6 persons with great hosts.

A verry large and beautiful furnished house with a beautiful view and very helpful hosts. Half of our group got sick and the host brought some fruit and water upon arrival for them. Everything was really clean and worked perfectly. The washing machine helped us out after 5 days of hiking. Furthermore, the grocery store was a walk of only 10 minutes.

Quite an unexpected treat in Prokletije. Very good!

We came at night and it was like in the Last Christmas music video, ha ha ha! The house is on the upper part of a huge property land, with lights on, just for us. Very nice welcome. There is a big room downstairs with fully equipped kitchen and clean bathroom. Upstairs plenty of beds. Decoration is not to everyone taste but there it is and it looks special. Very different from so popular ikea style.

It is not easy to find at night. You'd better call in advance that someone escort you. The owners are aware of the problem so they will gladly do that.

Salerno je top destinacija, na malom bregu, odmah iznad centra Plava. Apartmani su prelepi, uredni, odišu stilom i dobrim ukusom, zaista je uživanje biti u njima. Spavali smo dve noći u zimskom periodu. Sobe su udobne i tople, kreveti prostrani i novi. Emil je divan mladi domaćin, koji se o nama brinuo kao prema najbližima, pošto smo po ceo dan bili na planinarenju, on bi nam naložio vatru i zagrejao apartman, da nam bude toplo kada se vratimo. Dugujemo veliku zahvalnost i samo divne reči za ovog sjajnog momka. Sigurno ćemo doći opet, već u maju mesecu u Salerno.

Wat wil een wandelaar op de POB nog meer dan een wasmachine na 6 dagen wandelen ;-) Vriendelijke ontvangst in het Engels door Emile die 5-10 min later ter plaatse is nadat je gebeld hebt. Proper en mooi vakantiehuis voor 3/4 personen Warme douche met goede straal Rustig gelegen op een heuvel richting Vusanje als je POB wandelaar bent.
