Perfect stay in Prokletje

A wonderful ethno-hotel in a very picturesque location, not far from the Grebaje Valley. The cabins are cozy and well-equipped with everything you need. You can grill meat, sunbathe in loungers, or stargaze while enjoying the stunning views of the Prokletije mountains. The host is very friendly, speaks excellent English, and prepares delicious breakfasts and dinners. We recommended this hotel to our friends, and they were also thrilled with their stay. Highly recommended!

Nice and cozy place to explore Prokletije

Such a nice and cozy place to explore Prokletije. The hostess is very friendly and helpful. Special thanks for arranging breakfast for us, even though it is off-season and therefore no catering is available (we stayed early April).

Just Awesome

This wonderful place exceeded all our expectations. The surroundings are incredibly beautiful, and on the premises, there's a small enclosure with animals (rabbits, ducks), and a very friendly dog, which delighted our daughter. The cottage is of high quality, spacious, and designed for convenience. The only thing we missed was a bit of air conditioning. There is a large parking area available. You can rent a jeep to explore the surrounding areas, but even without one, you can visit many beautiful and impressive places within just half an hour by car. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, and we felt like we were part of their family. We especially loved the breakfast; be sure to order it for yourselves.

I don't know what else could be improved. Out of the dozens of places we visited in Montenegro, in different regions, this place easily ranks in the top 3 - it's absolutely magical!

Amazing, beautiful and cosy with a very good kitchen.

This is a very beautiful and clean place! The house was very cosy and even had window blinds, which are hard to find in Montenegro. The airco was perfect. The host was amazing. She is super friendly and cooks the best meals. What I also very much liked was that we could use the kitchen and fridge to cook if we wanted. My children loved the animals, especially Bella the cute puppy. They still talk about her every day and miss her very much. This also an excellent location in between Lake Plav ( 10 min drive) and Prokletije National Park (20 min drive!!)

Amazing hosts, fantastic stay, would highly recommend!

Our hosts were wonderful, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The cabin was clean and the photos didn’t do it justice, it looked better in person. The food for breakfast and dinner was delicious, it was home made authentic Montenegrin food and we would highly recommend having both! We would definitely recommend and definitely stay again!

The only small thing, was that the WiFi only just reached our room (but not to the bed) and sometimes dropped, but we were the furthest cabin from the router and we were in the mountains, so any WiFi was nice to have.

We wished we stayed longer!

We had a wonderful stay at Ethno House Bektesevic, it honestly really could not have been much better. Sefika and Muhamed are great. Sefika is a lovely person who is talented in many ways, she cooks great food, is a great host and is really nice to talk to. She also speaks multiple languages and her English is perfect! Muhamed does the other jobs that people often don’t see- the management of the place, the bins, the gardening etc. We wish we had stayed longer, we could have done a week here no problem. What a great setting in a great location and the food is just delicious. Thanks to Sefika, I have a new favourite desert- Hacajlija! Hopefully one day we will return! Many thanks, Ben and Beth

A perfect Etno Selo

What stands out the most of all – it was simply the best customer service I've ever experienced in Montenegro, out of around 15 stays. The hostess helped with lots of little things and spoke perfect English. Also, houses are freshly built and perfectly clean. Food was great. This is your choice if you go to Prokletije!

Even with the rainy afternoons it was perfect.

The meals were plenty and very tasteful, the room was very clean, quiet and cosy. The owners are very helpful and nice people, the location is mind blowingly beautiful. You are only at 7-8 km away from the Prokletije National Park with many tourist attractions in the area: hiking trails starting from Vusanje (Valusnica,Karanfili,Zla Kolata,Maja e Rosit), waterfalls (Grlja,Kusije), glacial lakes (Hridsko Jezero, Ropojansko Jezero), natural springs (Ali Pasha, Oko Skakavice) and many others. By the way don't forget about the strong wifi signal, all over the property. If you like animals, you can met there Bubi the fearless dog, rabbits, doves, bunnies, ducks and parrots. The cold water in the bathroom is drinkable. You can have there a really pleasant and relaxing holiday!

The only thing that bothered me, was the fact that they can't contol the weather :)) ! If you find anything that you doesn't like, it means that you are too pretenciuous and you don't deserve to stay in such a beautiful place!

Beautiful stay in Prokletije national park on a beautiful property!

Ethno house is at such a beautiful locaion. Shefika and her family has done an oustanding job of putting on beautiful lodges on their property. I especailly love the dining shed in the yard - such a beautiful view of the mountains and their beautiful property! It's my favorite place on the property! And Shefika prepared me breakfast and dinner for both days, and her cooking is so good!!!! I had dinner at a five star hotel in Podgorica and it was not as good as Shefika's cooking! Shefika also gave me good suggestions on trails to go and drove me around. I am super lucky to be able to stay with her and her family. Oh, the best of all, their family dog bubby is the most friendly doggy ever! Kept me accompanied for my breakfast, dinner, my mandala time. I miss their place already!

the shower head could be lowered a little bit - the angle it has now spray water onto the shower curtain and I had to hold the shower head. Easy fix though.
