Disappointing

Location

Unfortunately, our stay was quite disappointing. The photos online looked great, but the reality was nothing like that. The property wasn’t clean — the sofa and carpets were dirty, and the overall hygiene was poor. There were no basic supplies provided, such as toilet paper or cleaning products, which made things even more inconvenient. The check-in process was complicated, and whenever we tried to raise an issue or ask a question, the response times were very slow. It really affected our experience. It’s a pity because the location is nice, but it definitely needs major improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service.

Disappointed

Location.

Poor customer service and electric issues at the apartment. We had so many electrical power issues, the day we checked in had no power and customer service responded on day 2, main switch kept tripping soon we were using there appliances, caused us so much inconvenience and money as we had to keep travelling back to family house in London. Unfortunately, even after their engineer confirmed the issues customer service person dealing with us tried to put it on us rather than taking ownership. Overall, it was an extremely disappointing stay & unfair outcome/no notice of our complaint.

A clean and comfortable flat

A well-located, clean and comfortable flat. The property team were very responsive to some issues that needed resolving, like resetting electrics and providing a fan.

Some small bits here and there could be looked at, like providing oven mitts and a hand towel for the bathroom (also note that the living room looks quite different to the photos)

Nice apartment but not luxury.

The bed was very comfortable. Location for us was excellent Parking lot well lit at night and good spaces. Very clean apartment. Good internet.

Couch and chair very uncomfortable. Appliances hard to figure out how to use. Amenities not as listed.

Not a nice stay

Close to town, parking close to entrance door

I didn’t receive email instructions on how to enter property until I called to ask for this. Property location is confusing and unclear as there are 2 similar buildings, and the pass codes work for both main entrances. The property was not setup as agreed via messages, (options agreed were for 2x singles in bedroom and further beds setup in living room) to accommodate 4 persons. Unfortunate I had to make up beds on arrival, which made us late for meeting friends. Proper single beds are not available in the property, all that is available are 2 sofa futons that are cheaply built, and design and not suitable as a bed, (thin mattress) but due time and being unable to find anywhere else at short notice we had to remain in the property. Also the futons were dirty, with human hair and food residue. I use booking.com properties regularly, but would not recommend to stay here due service and beds, and also that person who deals with telephone queries does not speak acceptable English and was unable to understand this simple complaint, able to be of help, but only offer apologies and blame the cleaner for not setting the property up according to agreed messages. Property has a lengthy background and security to go through that was not expected, one has to send a photo of passport and send a photo of booking guest, also large deposit to be left against damage to property, I’m almost sure these areas are against booking.com policies as the property sends messages, emails and telephone calls outside of booking.com protection

Great facilities and accommodation

The accommodation was perfectly placed near old town. Private protected parking well lit, Safe and clean. Apartment had everything I needed, was exceptionally clean and great to base myself there. Nice and relaxed on an evening after being at work all day,

Great place to stay

The location was ideal and it was quiet and comfortable

The water seemed to smell/taste odd coming out of the tap but I don't know if thats just the local water so wouldnt mark down the accomodation on it!

Walking distance to everything. Well secure, clean and modern with nice bathroom and bedroom with a welcoming cup of coffee on arrival.

The flat is in a renovated office building, bed and room was good, parking just outside, tea and coffee with some milk was a nice touch, the communication was great with the video on how to get there was good. overall can't fault it.

Next door had a dog, when walking past it was noticeable, didn't really annoy but just the odd barking could be heard, this is a 1 bed property, I should have viewed the photos better. more info on the parking - didn't know if it was free or not. the deposit thing is a bit much if I am honest, could do with a small video of where the key is held as there was several lock boxes we tried before we got the right one.

Lovely apartment close to facilities and the station

The apartment was well situated only about 10mins walk from the station - we used it as a perfect cheap base for a couple of days in London. It was well-equipped, clean and felt secure. The keys were easy to get hold of from the lockbox, and the host provided really useful information prior to us arriving. Definitely recommend !

The main bed was really comfy, but our two kids didn't sleep that well on the couch and airbed

It’s a lovely looking, comfortable and quiet place to stay - I wanted to have some home comforts for a few nights at work and this really did the job! Also as a solo female traveller I wanted to feel safe which this did.

AMAZING IN EVERY WAY!!!

This apartment is absolutely stunning. Quite possibly the loveliest place I’ve ever stayed in for work purposes. Perfect location, safe, comfortable, beautifully furnished, great WiFi, spotlessly clean. Hosts were a dream to deal with and made the whole process an absolute breeze. I’ll definitely be back when staying in Stevenage!
