Excellent place with a great owner

A cosy and comfortable house that had great facilities with each room being nicely decorated and set up with the guests in mind; lots of space with a fully set up kitchen so it's easy to relax no matter what time you get there. There was a modern bathroom; two large bedrooms that had plenty of wardrobe space; a downstairs toilet; cosy lounge room with nice sofas and an additional breakfast table. Each room is nice and tidy so it felt spacious; there were four of us but it didn't feel cramped like lots of places can. The owner was very communicative from the initial enquiry and gave prompt responses which made things nice and easy; they were friendly and helpful, with the keys being collected from a lock box and information being given over messages/a help sheet at the house. We stayed for one night but I'd have happily stayed longer if we'd needed to and will definitely be returning if I'm over in Stevenage again

Friendly, clean, comfy and exceptional value.

Value for money this place was brilliant. The hosts were extrememly courteous and the place was lovely and warm on a cold windy Tuesday night in January.

I would've loved to turn the hating down a little at night time. The hosts did offer, but we're been to the footy and didn't get back in until midnight, and I deemed that too late to text. We both opened windows in our bedrooms, which is fine in one way, but I like to be responsible and waste peoples money. So a thermostat would've helped me. MAybe others a abuse the heating, so I guess that's difficult too for the hosts. Only a small thing. Over all we were very happy there.

Nice clean house, good value.

The house was very clean and offered adequate accommodation for 3 separate people.

Parking spaces were very limited in the area when we arrived. Communication of the key box code could have been better.

Perfect, and the host made sure we had a good stay always answered phone 👍

Very clean, very comfortable settees and also the beds were comfortable, all the house was clean in every room, when we got to the property the heating was on and as it was a cold day it was great to come in to a warm house ,the hosts also left breakfast cereal and I have to say we enjoyed them very much 😀, there was plenty of cooking stuff available in the kitchen, we were up here for a family funeral and it was only 10 minutes away from town , parking outside the property, I would highly recommend this property ,

House worked but could do with a revamp.

The house was in a neighborhood and very quiet. The heating worked exceptionally well downstairs . The kitchen was well stocked with equipment. The shower was clean and efficient with plenty of hot water. The floors were clean and in good repair. The washing machine worked perfectly and there was a place to air dry clothes. The upstairs bathroom was in nice condition with a couple of issues (see below). The living room was comfortable and the TV worked well. Parking was always available. It was a short drive to supermarkets and shopping.

The whole home could do with an upgrade. The walls had scuff marks throughout. There was no hairdryer or scissors. The kitchen cabinets were old. The downstairs toilet was extremely compact with nowhere to wash your hands after using. There was no toilet roll holder in the upstairs bathroom. There were limited places to hang wet towels. Anyone staying there probably would need a car as public transportation was not obvious. The radiators needed bleeding as they banged noisily when the heating was on and didn’t work well upstairs, although that wasn’t a problem for me as I prefer a cooler bedroom but the noise woke me up. The central heating control was difficult to comprehend, especially for a non native. I would have recycled but I did not know how to as I do not live in this country and it wasn’t obvious what could be recycled and how to do it. The back yard was not appealing to look at or enticing to use.

Kitchen table was bendy, threatening to collapse It was cold in the property, own came to turn on the heating The shower was not draining well The bed in the main bedroom is not comfortable, one side goes lower than the other side causing one to ‘sink’ into one side of the bed.

Great little house, in a central location with ample parking. Host was very accommodating and friendly.

Good location in centre of Stevenage. Good amounts of on street parking. House was clean with everything you’d need for a short or longer break. Host provided basic hot beverages and breakfast cereal (which I was not expecting). Easy check in and out process. Host was very friendly and on hand for any needs we had- she replied quickly to our messages. Host also made the effort to attend the property just to say thank you for using her property. Host also allowed a late check out for us as no one was booked to arrive that day we departed. We would definitely stay again.
