Royal Mile Apartments by Joivy

The location could not be faulted, this was excellent.

There were six adults sharing the property. One bedroom had no hanging facilities or mirror. The cutlery did not cater for six people nor were there six dinner plates. Cooking utensils were limited. Eg no whisk to make scrambled eggs in the morning. The dining table was extremely wobbly due to the top being loose and the bar table in the kitchen needed a prop underneath. On arrival we had to wait for the access code to be sent.. twice and the same happened to another guest on the Sunday who we saw waiting outside. This caused a lot of stress after a long and delayed journey. You had been emailed earlier in the day asking for the access code. So had the opportunity to provide it then but didn’t .

The location couldn’t have been better for all the events on the Royal Mile. Comfortable beds and lots of space.

The steps! A little noisy at this time of year but that was to be expected. Would have liked a few more comforts such as tissues, washing powder (the box in our apartment was empty when we arrived). Would have liked to be able to open the kitchen and sitting room windows as it was very hot when we stayed. Also, a suggestion, maybe the management company could provide some grocery essentials (optional and at a cost of course) such as bread, milk, cereals as it’s such a pull up those stairs to buy essentials as soon as you arrive. Also we found some dirty cutlery so I think that should have been checked when the apartment was cleaned.

Great location on the mile. Nice amount of space for central location.

Wasn’t that clean. Ok. The bed was so uncomfortable. Said was a king size and it was a small bed. Horrible pillows. Sofa is so small hardly room for two people. One light bulb didn’t work in the bedroom.
