Fantastic location and whilst only one bathroom/inclusive of toilet which was a bit stressful for 5 girls and 2 guys, we managed - the stairs were hard work for us oldies but worth it on arrival.

Location amazing but be prepared for it being noisy, right in heart of pubs and clubs and party people until around 5am (tho it was fringe) didn’t bother us tho. Loved it.

Great location
Smelled of cigarettes. Didn't realize how many stairs there would be on the walk up. It was relatively warm so sleeping with the window up was necessary but it's loud outside so it's hard to sleep.

it’s a bit loud if people are loud outside, and the mattress in one of the four bedrooms was soft and I could feel the springs, but we still had a great time and it had everything we needed.

The location was great to explore the city - walking distance to the castle, Royal Mile, Princes Street and Waverley station.
The outside of the property - on arrival we were met with strewn litter in the railings and wheelie bins overflowing with rubbish outside the doorway. These were from the restaurants on the same street so had food waste in. The management came and moved the waste in the railings but the bins were an eyesore and not what you expect in front of a holiday apartment.
Inside the apartment - the place was superficially clean. The bed linen and towels to be fair were clean but the kitchen tiles behind the oven were greasy and the microwave was smeared. We didn’t intend to cook but it was off putting. There was also a fusty smell to the place, we kept the windows open as much as possible and purchased room spray to try and mask it. Some of the bedrooms didn’t have mirrors or waste bins. The shower and sink didn’t drain properly and when we lifted the shower plug/drainage it was so dirty and blocked, hence why the water couldn’t escape. In our opinion it felt like student accommodation that had been let through the summer break and didn’t have the welcome or feel of an apartment for a family holiday.
To be fair the management suggested they would send the cleaning team back in but we had already unpacked and it really needs a deep clean and a lick of paint.

It was opposite a pub with loud drunken people every night it was not suitable for families and not very clean .Parking cost us £250 as we had 2 cars Yeo the host implied parking would be no problem

The apartment is fully kitted out with everything we needed (including washer and dryer). It is in the middle of the tourist district, which means everything is within walking distance. This also means that it is in a busy area, so noise levels are high in the evening - and the apartment is between two pubs - but this tapers off before midnight, and this slight nuisance was worth it for the excellent location!

The apartment was excellent - four full-size double rooms for four couples (usually someone gets the short straw and ends up on the sofa bed in the living room!) and ample living room/kitchen space. Really well equipped with the basics such as hair dryer, iron, bedding, towels etc. We were also pleased to see extras such as tea bags, coffee, washing tablets, shampoo & conditioner.
The location was great, right in the middle of Grassmarket which offers loads of little shops, pubs, restaurants and takeaways. We were a stone's throw from Greyfriar's cemetery where we did a ghost hunt through Auld Reekie Tours - would highly recommend! Being on the top floor meant that there was no noise from floors above.
