Lovely location

Lovely location - a countryside feel but only a 15-20 min walk to the lovely town of Arles. The Camargue can be easily reached from the local bus stop. A good supermarket is 5 mins away.

Minor issues - for the price the room was quite basic. The pool is actually in the hosts garden with guests asked not to sit by it (there’s a separate concrete terrace). As a self catering place a dryer for washing and a barbecue to use would be nice.

Perfection

We had the most beautiful time staying at La Madeleine Arles. I wanted to stay somewhere that felt like the countryside but also not too far from nightlife and the city - La Madeleine Arles is exactly that. The property is breathtaking, the host kind & welcoming. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very clean. We enjoyed cooking together on an evening and eating surrounded by the countryside, and also having the luxury of a short 15 minute walk into the centre of Arles, which is full of history, stunning buildings, streets, restaurants and bars. There is also a huge supermarket only a 5 minute (scenic) walk from the property so you can stock up on food and supplies. Thank you to the hosts for making an unforgettable stay. We would recommend this place to everyone! Merci beaucoup

- 20 minutes walk from Arles center - Very quiet suburb - Extremely nice and friendly owners - Very friendly dog and cat (amazing for us, could be a problem for some people) - Very nice artist exposition on property - local products for fair prices available at the “minibar”

Very close to camargue (marshes)- get your repel or get ready to be eaten by mosquitoes in the evening

Very restful, but with easy access to the town.

Fantastic, quiet, rural location. Just what we needed after three weeks of town and city travelling. Our host met us on arrival and showed us around, mentioning good restaurants we might try. The property was self-contained and the kitchen had all the facilities we might need. Despite the rural location, the centre of Arles was a only half hour walk.

The location is perfect: you can walk easily to the city centre of Arles by foot and meanwhile sleep in the campagne at the same time. We love the concept as wel. Very friendly hosts make room for artist as well.

Great place to retreat, quiet and cozy, spacious room with plenty of comfort. Great bed. Lots of local product available from the cupboard. And friendly pets on location

A lovely stay!

Location is in a quiet area across the river on the other side of Arles. More than convenient if you're happy with a 15 minute walk into Arles centre or a 25 min walk to the train station alongside the river. A short walk to a supermarket and bakery. Ludo was a lovely host, great English and checked multiple times if we were okay, while also leaving us to our privacy. The apartment itself it's just what you need for self-catering, with all the bits you need and it's decorated nicely. Lovely view onto a field with a horse and donkey. All in all a great stay!

The pool is on the smaller side, this isn't a fault per-se as it's a guest house so it is what it is and they don't market it as anything greater than that. You just feel if the family or other guests are using it, that you can't. That said, Ludo still checked with us both times his family was using it, that if we had wanted to he would have given us priority. We genuinely didn't at that point but it was nice to be asked. We still got to use it multiple times on our own, so please don't let this put you off unless you're really needing an accessible pool for large parts of your stay! I'd say a bit more lounger furniture around that terrace/pool area would be nice. Couple of times we went to chill there and it was all taken by other guests. And the chairs outside our apartment weren't that comfortable, would be fine for a narrow butt but I'm really splitting hairs here. I really would recommend this place!

We loved our and balcony area, the way it was styled, comfortable bed and lovely quality linen and the small arrange of local produce we could purchase to enjoy during our stay. or take with us on our departure.

The ground are very rustic not highly manicured, which to some extent I’m fine with but could have been a little mowed/weeded a little more in area guest rooms face.

The owners were very helpful and willing to solve any question or any small issue that came up. The property is in the countryside but also very close to the city, so it is ideal if you want to relax and enjoy walking distance to the city. New infrastructures and clean. la meilleure surprise de notre week-end en Arles !

il n'y a pas de petit déjeuner, mais une kitchenette, une bouilloire, une machine à café (avec des dosettes et des sachets de thé et d'infusions mis à disposition gratuitement). Nous étions prévenus, donc nous avons acheté des croissants et de la confiture à l'Intermarché du coin. Le principe (qui permet de proposer un prix de chambre très intéressant, évidemment), est excellent. L'accueil aussi était parfait : notre hôte nous a donné tout son temps pour discuter de son hôtel, des facilités du coin, mais aussi pour nous donner des conseils pour notre balade dans la ville (restaurants, sites à voir, etc.). Enfin pouvoir être en pleine campagne à 20 minutes à pied du centre-ville, ça n'a pas de prix : tranquillité absolue la nuit.

Nydelig, landlig idyll.

Vi hadde en koselig og velutstyrt liten leilighet. Der var alt vi trengte for et vellykket opphold. Stedet ligger landlig til, men likevel bare 10 minutter til fots fra Arles sentrum. Der er en stor hage med trær som skygger, pool, solsenger og stoler. God plass til å parkere. Verten var utrolig hyggelig! Et pluss var stedets hund og katt:)

GPS'en førte oss på ville veier der, men det er jo ikke hverken vert eller stedet sin feil....

idyllisches Anwesen in super Lage

Die Eigentümer sind ausgesprochen freundlich u. hilfsbereit. Das ganze Anwesen ist gepflegt u. ruhig, es gibt auf dem Gelände viele Sitzgelegenheiten sowie Liegen am Pool, die zum Entspannen genutzt werden können. Wir konnten uns kostenlos Fahrräder ausleihen um in 5 Minuten in die Stadt zu radeln. Das empfiehlt sich für eine Stadterkundung, um den riesigen Markt am Samstag oder um abends bequem ein Restaurant zu besuchen.

Wir waren im Juni dort. Es ist auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert, ein Insektenschutzmittel dabei zu haben. In den Abendstunde gibt es viele Stechmücken, mit Repellent eingesprüht ist dies aber kein Problem.

Sehr freundliches Gastgeber, auch wenn die Unterkunft etwas ausserhalb von Arles liegt, ist alles sehr gut zu erreichen, wir habe sehr gut geschlafen , schöner Platz um ein paar Tage in Arles zu bleiben, die Stadt ist historisch und sehenswert , die Camargue ist nicht weit, Parkplatz vorhanden
