A magical apartment in a quiet city centre location

Magical two bedroomed two floor apartment in a central, yet quiet, location. The terrace was a big plus-a great space for relaxing, whilst the main bedroom had a good view over the Rhone. The kitchen was well equipped & the apartment had good air-con throughout. If you are going to use the recommended car parking then it is worth driving straight to the rental office & collecting the pre paid ticket. The car park is only a minute away & avoids having to drive through a semi-pedestrianised, "vehicle unfriendly" old town.

Access- the apartment is reached via a stone staircase with 59 steps- we didn't mind but other guests might. Toilet- just one, situated on the ground floor, good for the adjacent bedroom but not so good for the 2nd bedroom which is on the 1st floor (and has the best view).

Good location

Location was good and downstairs bed was comfortable. View from terrace was nice. It was very quiet.

Upstairs was boiling hot with no sensible blinds/curtains to block out the sun and air conditioning units needed to be on for 24 hours before we got any real benefit. We stayed 2 nights and the first night was horrendous because of the heat! We have 2 adult children and due to 2 double beds (no twins) we had to use the sofa bed! There was very little floor space once the sofa bed was out due to other large pieces of furniture! Overall I found the property to be very overpriced and would not recommend it to anyone who would struggle to walk up 3 flights of an old stone staircase. Only one toilet (off the kitchen) which is especially not great for those who are sleeping upstairs in the Duplex.

Cosy and warm apartment located close to the centre of town

Cosy and warm apartment in a good central location. We really appreciated the heaters when the weather was cool. Two nice bedrooms with showers; a kitchen you can cook in, and a pleasant living area with a good outside space. It was a 10 min walk from the train station. While we didn't much enjoy the 3 floors of steps to the apartment, this is the price you have to pay to have a roof terrace! Celine met us at the property with the keys.

Minor niggles - a) the owner required a completed rental agreement before the stay. This states that all damage to the property, however caused, is the lessee's responsibility. This is not usual practice in my experience (except perhaps in France?) and b) a bit of cupboard space in the kitchen for visitors' food etc would be helpful. More importantly, I found the location of the one toilet off-putting as it is a very small room opening directly off the kitchen, which is a floor down from one of the bedrooms and the separate sofa bed. I can see there is no obvious alternative but Im not sure how this would work with up to 6 people.

Great apartment, beautiful views, perfect location!

Great property, very comfortable with everything we needed. Apartment is light and bright with tasteful furnishings. Amazing views and lovely outside patio. Good communication prior to arrival. I would definitely stay here again!

We had a car and the parking garage was a ten minute walk. Pretty easy and flat, not terrible but something to be aware of. Also, If you want a Penthouse view you will need to climb a lot of stairs. Absolutely worth it! There weren’t directions for check out ( or we didn’t find them) which would have been helpful .

Arles rooftop

Loved the roof top terrace. Washing machine and tumble dryer to do washing. Beautiful old and well restored building.

large kitchen and terrace and upstairs living room. modern bathrooms…

it was a 2 bedroom , 2 bathroom apt.. however there is only 1 toilet… it is downstairs off the kitchen! we stayed in the upstairs bathroom and had to come downstairs to use the toilet 😞

Beautiful apartment with an amazing rooftop deck

We loved everything about the apartment. My favorite part was the rooftop deck. We wish we had a longer stay at this property.

It's a little hard to get to since the apartment is within the no driving area. So if you have lots of bags it is more difficult to navigate to the apartment. The covered parking is a good 10 minute walk away.

A chic, comfortable oasis in the heart of ancient Arles.

The location was really good, in the heart of the old city. There is a climb up the stone stairs to the third floor of this historic old house but well worth the effort. The apartment is excellent, beautifully fitted and very quiet and comfortable. As for the view from the roof terrace - stunning! We will definitely stay here again and hopefully for longer next time.

It would have been good to have an en suite toilet on the top floor.

Truly wonderful.

Tricher Penthouse was truly amazing. The view from the top bedroom was spectacular. We loved being in an old building but with modern functionality. We wish we had more time to spend in Arles. Will definitely be returning!

Truchet is a very nice place, well designed and equipped, very clean. Host very responsive and nice. In fact it is one the best properties we have rented, if not the best. Highly recommended!

Wonderful stay in Arles

The apartment is very well located, at the heart of Arles, close to all important places to visit and has very nice restaurants 1 minute walk. It's very cozy and well decorated, with nice views over the city and the river - we saw a wonderful sunset in the balcony. Highly recommended.

It's the last floor and there's no elevator... I took it as the price to pay for the nice view :-) The toilet could also be better, not possible to wash your hands unless you go to the room and use the room's washbasin.

Wonderful penthouse in the middle of Arles

Location and interior design were amazing. The kids loved it. The rooftop patio was breathtaking with great views on all directions.

Generally the ambiance in the flat is great. Nice design and accessories. Comfortable beds. Very beautiful terrace. Well equipped kitchen.

Honestly, if I have to... Id say the bedroom downstairs is least comfortable: very little storage, nowhere to hook towels near the shower, or no space around the sink to put the cosmetics. The one upstairs is great. But. The toilet is one floor down.

Magnifiquement placé, charmant et confortable mais malheureusement souffre d'un service insuffisant.

L'appartement est magnifiquement placé, très charmant, calme et assez confortable, notamment la literie. La vue sur les toits est très belle. La terrasse au sud est vraiment agréable.

La propreté était très moyenne, en particulier les WC. Il y a des défectuosités importantes: une serrure de la porte d'entrée ne fonctionne pas (ceci nous a été notifié), certains meubles de la terrasses sont cassés (nous avons averti) et la porte-fenêtre de la terrasse ne se fermer plus (et s'ouvre au vent!). Ce dernier point, très problématique, a été annoncé à plusieurs reprises, mais rien n'a été entrepris pendant notre semaine. Les informations générales données sont trop succinctes. Les instructions pour l'accès et le parking sont erronées. Il n'est en fait pas possible d'atteindre l'appartement en voiture, Feria ou non...
