Riad Nyla Wellness and Spa

Nyla is located in a very convenient area by Dar El Bacha Coffee so it is easy to grab a taxi or walk most anywhere. The design of the rooms is beautiful and soothing. The entire riad has gorgeous decor, feeling modern yet still very Moroccan. While breakfast can be served inside, we chose to have breakfast every day on the rooftop which was a wonderful way to start the day. Each day was different and the food delicious. The staff was gracious, always greeting us with smiles. There was never a “no.” They went above and beyond to assist in whatever was needed. Our hammam and massage therapists were magical. Chiara made sure we had everything needed and Jamal went out of his way to take care of us when we got sick, delivering food and helping us to spruce what we needed. Could not ask for more kind and helpful service.

In fairness, the adjacent construction can be bothersome if you want to sleep late. If there is construction occurring, it would be a courtesy to alert guests to allow them the choice of a room on a non-adjacent wall. Our particular room AC had a tough time keeping up with the heat outside. There were a few nights it didn’t get quite cool enough. Fortunately the beds are very comfortable and we managed.

A nice, clean hotel in the heart of the Medina, with taxi access just a 5-minute walk away. What truly sets this hotel apart, however, is its staff. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always eager to help make our stay as enjoyable as possible. A special mention goes to Jamal, who consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had a great experience. While the hotel itself is comfortable and well located, it is the people who make it exceptional. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality turned our trip into a memorable experience and gave us every reason to want to return in the future.

One thing to keep in mind is that the hotel is located in the heart of the Medina, which means access involves walking through some very narrow streets and alleyways. At night, some of these streets have limited street lighting and are relatively quiet, which may feel a little uncomfortable, especially during the first 1-2 days of your stay. We never encountered any issues but the walk back to the hotel after dark can initially feel a bit unsettling for first-time visitors.
