Charming 3 Bed Apartment in Old Town

Excellent location

We had an excellent stay at this apartment in Edinburgh. The location is fantastic, right in the city centre, making it the perfect base for exploring all the city's attractions on foot. The apartment is spacious and well laid out, with three lovely bedrooms, a cosy lounge, two bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen that had everything we needed for our stay. The free Wi-Fi was also a great addition and worked perfectly throughout. The hosts were excellent, with great communication before and during our stay. Access was simple and hassle-free thanks to the key box, making check-in very easy. The only thing to bear in mind is that the apartment is on the third floor, so you'll need to climb the stairs. It wasn't an issue for us, but it's worth knowing if you have mobility concerns or lots of luggage. Overall, we had a wonderful stay!

The location was excellent. There was excellent communication from the host, and any issues were promptly handled.

The location was a real highlight — a great spot for exploring Edinburgh, and probably the best thing about this stay.

Unfortunately, the rest of the experience fell short. Check-in wasn’t straightforward — instructions weren’t clear from the listing, and we had to watch a video just to figure out how to get in, which wasted time after a long day of travel. Once inside, the apartment wasn’t fully clean — we found some dirt/debris that we ended up cleaning up ourselves. The kitchen was only partially stocked — items like salt were provided but not sugar, and there was a washing machine with no detergent, so it wasn’t usable without buying our own supplies. The biggest issue was the mattress — it was low quality and visibly unclean, with stains on the surface (photo attached). This isn’t something we expected for the price and made for an uncomfortable stay.
