I stayed one night at History House at the end of October 2025. I can tell you that every good review listed here is accurate. The apartment was very clean, especially the bathroom. And the architecture really was historic. The bed was comfortable and very clean. There is a common area that is stocked with free food. This common room was much nicer than you might imagine. The food choices are excellent; it's mostly breakfast. The room was stocked with breads, almond butter, yogurt, coffee, tea and herbal tea, fresh honey and some fruits. There was even fresh eggs and waffle mix, if you wanted to take the time with those items (there was a stove and a frying pan, and they expected you to clean your own dishes). The whole setup was just very appealing.
It was a 2 block walk to the main strip where there were restaurants. If you are arriving when it is dark, make sure that you coordinate with the host to have the host on call to walk over and help get you into your room if you have trouble with the lockbox system - I found it confusing.
Overall, I definitely recommend this place. It's very good value, it's clean and it's an interesting place to stay.

Great location near museums, old center, coast & Airport. Nice decor. Shower & bed comfortable. Top floor had an interesting display of historic books & furniture.
Access to my top floor room was difficult because I had to climb between the heavy wooden beams supporting the roof , between the door and the bed. Stepping over a beam at 30 cm off the floor and at the same time under a sloping one at head height, with luggage, was difficult. There should be a clearer description on the website to advise less agile clients accordingly.

A magical place in the heart of Corfu that feels like a time travel. All the historic detail, from museum-like furniture to a period keys, waking up to the birds singing in the enchanted garden -- everything is fantastic. Modern comfort in the oasis of history. easy to find, perfect instructions and communications, great care from the host, well stocked kitchen -- this place is truly unique. Will stay again.

We had the apartment and it looked very nice! very spacious, clean and loved the furniture, it looked better in real life than in the pictures. Nespresso machine, kettle, tea and coffee. They also have at the side of the building a kitchen you can use. Within 8 minute walk you are in the center. Many little restaurants etc nearby. Garden to sit in. We had a pleasant stay.
It is quite noisy, it is an old building with single (antique) windows and doors, so you hear people talk in the street, cars- it is noisy. Under the apartment there is an office/company and you lit. can hear them talk in your room till 20:30. Also people that are in the hallway you hear them very well. We brought white noise and you will need this or good earplugs if you are not used to these noises. Parking was a drama, we had a lot of luggage and bad weather so that was a problem. Very busy streets as parking is free.

Quirky and traditional. The shared little kitchen was a lovely surprise. Plenty of equipment to prepare brekki - usual creature comforts! Coffee and milk froth machine!

Classy place, with soul. We enjoyed it during a 1 night sleepover, when we planned to visit the old town and center of Corfu Town. It's located within a 10-min walk to the center. We were guided via whatsapp with the self-check-in, with useful precise information. We enjoyed the two rooms which we booked on the top floor and a quick self-service breakfast in the adjacent kitchen/eating place. The friendly hosts helped us arrange a transfer to the airport.
There were not many accommodations available for just 1 night in Corfu Town in the peak season in August, which elevated prices in the whole area, incl. The History House. Normally I would find the price we paid as really exaggerated, but in relation to what else we could book, it made it acceptable.

It was so so lovely - I’ll definitely return to History House. My friends had also booked a few rooms. The messages sent beforehand including a short video to explain the key boxes and front door were invaluable. Everywhere was so clean, comfortable and welcoming. The room was very comfortable. I really valued having the kitchen space downstairs available, as I have food allergies, and I could easily prepare food for dinner and for the next day. I also loved the decor, the fridge, kettle and coffee machine in the room. And the outside garden space. Lastly, we had a warm, friendly welcome on arrival!
Nothing at all!

We didn't see any staff due to nature of the accommodation, however they provided excellent communication and videos as to how to enter the property. It is quirky with the most unusual light switches!! I know that it's a strange observation but it was memorable. It is really close to the old town of Corfu.
Its not a criticism but be aware that you have to carry your cases up a wooden staircase due to the nature of the building, but that adds to its charm.

A really peaceful place but very close to the centre of the action. The woman who runs it was so helpful and easy to deal with. Loved the fully equipped kitchen.

The location was excellent. The small annexe kitchen was great with complimentary food and drink. Ease of getting keys etc - all done via WhatsApp! Young lady who worked there was lovely. Loved the decor of the rooms. The building doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside is delightful!
Our bed in the atelier room creaked loudly every time you moved, so that needs to be changed because it was not conducive to a peaceful night's sleep!

I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Corfu. Beautiful old villa in the Corfiot-English style. Lovely rooms, friendly and efficient hosts, a charming place to stay near the sea and just out of reach of the bustle of the centre.

Very spacious and clean, the staff were lovely and very accommodating. The shared kitchen was immaculate. Only a short walk to the sea and old town and close to the airport. Lovely views of tennis courts and the sea.
Nothing, everything was great!

Loved this quirky, eccentric place. Has a lovely garden connected to the rooms on the ground floor. Attic was nice n quiet.

Brilliant location. Super clean rooms.
It is an old property, with thin walls. It was a little noisy at night, as you could easily hear walking, talking and television noise, coming from the other rooms.
8.0 / 10.0
Great location for visiting the old town which is easily accessible by foot, and also for getting to the airport by car. Street parking was very easy despite it being high season. The rooms are really nicely decorated and the air conditioning worked well. Instructions for getting into the property were also very clear and we liked the recommendations for dinner and for the small beach near the castle.
The only real drawback is that the windows are single glazed and we had a lot of noise from the street until late at night despite this being a fairly quiet location. It is a shame and not what we would have expected for accommodation in this price range,

History House is a really nice place with beautiful antique decor that gives it a lot of character. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the staff were attentive and welcoming. Location is perfect!
The only downside was the noise – you can hear pretty much everything when other people are arriving in their rooms, which made it a bit hard to relax at times. Still, overall, it was a charming and pleasant stay.

Great location in a quieter part of town but still close enough for us to walk from the airport and to walk into the town centre. The room, kitchen and terrace all had character. The kitchen was great with fruit, fruit juice, yoghurt, bread, homous, cheese and more. Good sized room and air conditioning. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

We booked this place as a two night stop on the way to Sarande Albania.
It is very conveniently located between the airport and the ferry port. It’s just a short walk to the town centre where there are plenty of cafe bars for an evening meal and two nice beach clubs to spend your days.
The creaky bed in the second floor attic room. I rarely complain but you only need to roll over and you’re waking the whole building up.
Other than that it’s great..

The location is great, 8 minute walk to the old fort, 4 minute walk into the centre where all the shops and markets are. Quiet street. The booking process was super easy, I had quick contact and very clear instructions (there is no reception but you are given instructions in how to access your key etc). There was a communal kitchen area to the side of the building which was really well stocked with various coffees, teas, biscuits, fruit, bread, preserves, water, yogurt and milk (including non-dairy). All free! Very impressed. It also had a cooker and washing machine.
The walls were a little thin

We didn't meet any of the staff. However, they sent us very helpful messages about finding the property, the keys, a taxi service and local restaurants.
I was travelling with my partner who had had quadruple bi-pass surgery only 4 months before. Unfortunately we were staying in the attic, with suitcases, and there's no lift at the property. However, we both survived the stairs and it was my mistake for not pointing this out to the owners in the first place!
Also, we had to climb over a beam to get into the bedroom although that was certainly a novelty!

The room was really nice. Exactly as in the picture - stylish and clean.
The fact that a separate, shared kitchen (fully stocked) is available for use all the time, which is really good.
The hosts were very helpful, and easy to get hold of (WhatsApp).
The garden is great... We spent several evenings out there just with a bottle of red and some background music. Having that private outside space in a city apartment is unusual We loved that.
The air conditioning in our room was a bit 'feeble' (and doesn't go below 22 Deg). Don't misunderstand... It works perfectly, it just takes a while to get there.
It would have been nice to have a couple of extra pillows rather than using the towels to bolster the supplied two.
Minor gripes, really.

Agathi and Vasilis were brilliant hosts and managers. There was a problem with toilet cistern arm coming detached from the pull chain of the toilet meaning we had no toilet. Inadvertently sending a plea for assistance at 6.27 am I was shocked to hear from Agathi 20 minutes later and had a plumber round and fixed 40 minutes later. ExcellentLocation, rooms, the kitchen the garden, the delightful staff including the cleaners the provision of coffee and a discreet kitchen. It made a fabulous base for our brief sojourn in Corfu Town

The room and entire place was wonderful, the staff super helpful and the facilities were excellent. We stayed in the room called “Doctors” which was spacious featuring a large comfortable bed and a chesterfield sofa as well as a writing bureau. There was period furniture throughout the building and a very well equipped and stocked kitchen. The garden was delightful- sweetly scented, a place to rest in the shade and enjoy the swifts and flowers.

Spotlessly clean, great location between old town and the airport, can walk to airport in 15 minutes. Peaceful safe street overlooking tennis courts. Kettle and coffee maker and fridge in room. Communal kitchen available for guests, stocked with complimentary tea/coffee, bread, butter, jam and a few other breakfast items. Staff incredibly friendly and accommodating. Communication before the stay was also very good, with clear instructions about how to find the place and how to gain access.
Nowhere to put your things in the bathroom, needs a shelf or table and some hooks. No sink plug, making shaving difficult. Location of some useful items could be improved, the fridge, kettle and coffee machine were located below a sloping ceiling so you had to access them bent over .

It was a spontaneous booking for our last 2 days in kyrkira. I would have never expected what we got. My first thought was, that the photos were edited with Photoshop, as usual. But they weren't. It was even better in real life. It is from the entrance to. The room authentic, beautiful und with a lot of love for the details. The house is really near zu the sea and to the city. The communication with the host was nice, easy and fast. We got every information we needed for an easy check in. lThe room itself was stunning. It were the little details which made it perfect .Even the colour of the trash bags went perfectly for the colour scheme of this room, th e scent of washpowder, the tray with the glases and the cup weren't just the normal"boring" one, they had a perfect romantic design 😅 all of that made a beautiful room special and comfortable. It feels like all of this is made by heart.
Unfortunately, the bed was quite noisy- it creaked loudly with every movement, which made it hard to sleep peacefully.
