ESPERANCE HOTEL

Ive stayed at many 5 start hotels, this was the first time I stayed in a one star hotel. It was a last minute booking for a trip to Monaco to see the F1 GP. I must say it exceeded the expectations in every aspect. To start, I received a call from the hotel after the qualifying was over, asking if I was going to make it to check in before midnight. Excellent service. Then, an AC that actually works, even when we were away. The room was very fresh the whole time. Lastly, a clean simple room in the 5th floor with no lift as promised. Great location, a wifi that works.

location staff and room was perfect for what we wanted, only had slight issues with window /door, once we opened the window at top we could not move the handle again to lock it- not an issue for us as we were on fourth floor- door to small balcony was a nice touch we arrived with the door opened and we closed it at night but then in the morning we could not open again- hence why we opened the 2nd window to let some air in the room. did not have an impact on our stay and we did not mention to reception- but im sure if it had any impacton on us reception would have sorted for us.

Stayed in a single room, which was very small and would not comfortably fit a large suitcase. The shower was in an awkward position, and water leaked out into the room, leaving a puddle outside the bathroom door. Wasn't expecting anything too amazing but didn't feel very clean.
