Very comfy beds, bright balcony doors and colourful room. Great for people watching if you have a balcony. I’m glad there was always someone on reception too as it felt safer and more secure. Easy walking distance to the main train station, not too far from the old town either. Room service every day and fresh towels were put out. Nice staff on reception.
The bathroom is extremely small and the glass for the shower is sealed with no way to move it - if you’re heavily pregnant or have a large build you wouldn’t be able to get in to have a shower. The bathroom also needs shelving / storage as there was nowhere to put anything apart from on the sink or shower floor. The overall cleanliness and upkeep could be better as the bedroom floor had matted dust in places and bathroom door rotting. Teabags in the room weren’t replenished and there was only one to begin with. Walls are paper thin (you could hear next door in their bathroom). Despite the almost 30° weather, the air con wouldn’t work apart from on one day when I can only assume someone else complained so they turned it on for a few hours.

It is a newly-renovated, clean and pleasant hotel with a super-friendly staff right in the center of Nice. Getting bottles of water at the checkup as well as a discount at the parking was much appreciated. Overall, a very nice experience!
The flexible shower installed after the renovation was not selected well, as it is short for tall people (also it is very small).. so, if you are 1.80 cm or taller the only way to wash your hair was to bend or to remove the shower head and hold in one head.. which is not my preferred way..
I would also advise the owners to replaced the old carpet which has been left in couple of places.

Great central location
Friendly staff, attentive. They compensated us after we mentioned the room was not as expected
When there were problems with the WiFi, they really tried to help and provided a portable WiFi router
they have sparkling water in their water fountain
there were free pastries downstairs end of day

The hotel is VERY small, with very small rooms. I was not expecting this (but maybe it's common in France?). We chose a small room to begin with but it felt much worse than expected.
The room we had was not tolerable for 2 people...
The WiFi was not good enough for Zoom calls.. had to use my cellular data. Not recommended for work
To get fresh filtered water we had to go all the way to the first floor...
