The Old Cobblers Cottage

Wonderful location. A lovely, clean and attractive cottage.

We were there during the hot period and the upstairs was unbearably hot. Luckily we managed to buy a fan. If we hadn't, I won't think we would have survived. We're used to hot weather but the upstairs bedroom was 40 degrees. Downstairs was fine. There were comments in the visitor book about the lack of fan & we really think the owner needs to address this for the summer months. There were 2 heaters & a wood burner so a winter holiday would be really cosy. Not really a problem but usually there is are some basics for a welcome cuppa - milk, teabags, biscuit. That would've been a nice addition but as I say, not a huge problem as shops are fairly handy. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Great communication with the owner prior to arriving with friendly chat and clear instruction for the cottage, thanks lucy. Location was excellent very close to town centre and easy access to beautiful Peak District walks. Cottage was very clean with everything you need for an easy and relaxing stay. Comfortable sofa, chairs and bed with plenty of electrical sockets in all rooms.

The bed and bedding was super comfortable. Great location

Hob was tricky to use - we couldn’t see how to heat up the rings because the numbers had worn off but we got there in the end
