One night stay booked with breakfast. Good reviews of the Hotel, so reasonable expectations for my stay. Arrived shortly after 18.00 on Saturday evening to find front door locked and a note inside to phone the Hotel to gain access. It was pouring with rain at the time and wasn't a pleasant experience standing in the rain trying to get someone to open the door, and also prevent my phone from getting damaged in the rain. There's no porch over the outside door and you are at the mercy of the elements. Not a good start. If it is essential to lock the access door to the Hotel at 6pm, why not lock the internal porch door instead of the external one. At least you can shelter in the dry porch to make the phone call. Room 13. No coat hook to hang my wet coat on. Coat hangers in the wardrobe, but no trouser hanger to hang my wet trousers on. Wifi signal in Room 13 very weak and kept dropping out. At 21.00 someone entered my room! The Yale type lock on the room was so flimsy, any key could open it. A dead bolt on the door would prevent unauthorised access. Moved to room 21. Again poor/non existent wi-fi, and no coat hooks. Apart from the points noted, the rooms were comfortable and practical. The breakfast, as noted by others was excellent. I was given a receipt for my payment when I checked in, different to the amount I paid. My payment was direct to Hotels.com, not to the Hotel. Hotels.com have provided me with a receipt, the Hotel does not need to provide another one.

3 minutes from station ,very nice place ,very friendly staff,very clean ,decided to add the breakfast ,which was very nice plenty of choice ,would definitely stay again

Dated and unclean. Wardrobe door bracket cut my arm as I hang clothes. Booked for two nights and left after one as it was too noisy to sleep. No overnight reception to deal with noise from other rooms. Feedback given to hotel first by email but no reply received.

when I arrived I had had a bad experience at a earlier hotel I stayed at. Top floor room,steep stairway from ground floor and toilet on an other level. So when I arrived early at the waverley the staff very kindly switched me to a ground floor room when I told them of my previous hotel difficulties. The waverley did not do evening meals but invited me to use a take away and bring it back to hotel where a plate and cutlery would be provided for me to use which was very kind.

Good hotel and very reasonable price. Free parking very easy. Also only a few minutes walk to the main Crewe Railway station. Bed was very comfortable. Room clean.

Clean enough room, excellent location for train station.I was in single room, be wary you may not get a good nights sleep as walls are so thin you can hear room next door's conversation and doors banging etc.

Nice hotel. Enjoyed the stay. Low price and cheerful. Located very near to the train station, shops and food locations to eat in or take out. Recommended to take 4 gang extension cable lead if you have a few devices.

Handy hotel very close to Crewe station. If you need a night in the area this hotel is ideal. Good parking outside the hotel, plus the immediate area is quiet. The receptionist was very polite and helpful. I would use this hotel again if I need to stay a night in the area.

The whole experience from sign in to leaving was first rate. All members of staff from reception to breakfast service couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Definitely a hotel to return to when in the area.

The building itself seems old and is full of characters. Room doors are still open using old fashioned key, tiny tv screen like the old days. As I was only staying for 2 nights, there isn't a need for my room to be freshen up, though there isn't anywhere outside the door where you can hang the 'do not disturb' sign. The shower was a bit too tiny with the switch that switch outwards, you can easily switch off the shower by turning or turn up/down the heat.

The whole place is past its sell by date no evening meals breakfast ok didn’t help that there was a private function in the dining room on the Saturday with a noisy group up to midnight (we should have been told about this when we booked)despite been in as paying guests was told if we wanted to go to this function we should pay tan pounds each which we declined sorry next time it’s back to premier in much comfier
