Lovely place to stay! Owner very friendly and Helpful. Try out the restraunt....food was fresh and amazing. Only regret was that we only had planned a one night stay!

This bed and breakfast was really nice. Everything was clean and the breakfast/ onsite restaurant was perfect. The only drawback was we didnt have a car and to get anywhere was a €15 cab ride. Beautiful place to walk around the real italy though.

This was a excellent family run small hotel, would recommend highly to anybody looking for somewhere to stay whether for one night or a few days. Has a very good restaurant with a menu as good as any you would find in any of the times. We ate there 4 times, excellent service and food.

I would highly recommend Casale l'Antico Carro to anyone travelling through Tuscany. The surrounding countryside is beautiful as are the hotel's grounds. The room was clean and well decorated. The breakfast was satisfying and varied, albeit continental. Overall a wonderful stay with my fiancee.

This is a very nice hotel, just like new condition, the room is normal, nothing espectacular, but very clean and excelent maintenance. The location, garden, view, is what people expect from Italy... just like a paint. The only bad thing was that I just stay one nigth.

A delightful B&B -- Stayed in March 2014. Old charming building, inside totally renovated, with up to date beautiful tiled bathroom, high ceiling bedroom, daily cleaning. Breakfast was a cut above: the usual cereal, fruit, yoghurt, etc, but instead of presliced/packaged cheese and meat, we were presented huge local chunks of aged cheese and local delicious salami, and 4 different fresh cakes or tortes. The on site restaurant was very good at dinner as well. Proprietor very helpful in sightseeing suggestions, directions to a local phone store, printed out my boarding pass. You do need a car to get back and forth to Cortona. Also, the WiFi (as in so many places) was uneven-- strong in part of our room, weak in part.

This B&B is about 5 km or a 10 min drive from one of the parking lots outside Cortona. My wife and I stayed two nights in October 2013. We had a large 2nd floor room, very well furnished and comfortable. It was very quiet. During our first night, I think we were the only guests. The B&B also has a restaurant, and we ate there on our first night. Breakfast was a small buffet including juices, cereals, yogurt, fruit, and fresh pastries, along with made-to-order coffee.

This is a small b and b in the surrounding countryside of Cortona. We visited out of season (October) and this meant that we were the hotel's only visitors. The accommodation was comfortable but quiet and not the most easy to get to. Going out for dinner in the evening meant travelling (no restaurants within walking distance apart from the hotel's own which was closed). There was also a lot of flies about and no views from the room (which was particularly dark). In all an ok accommodation but not in a great location.

If you are looking for an Under The Tuscan Sun experience - look no further. Recently restored, beautifully furnished, this family owned and run property is just out of the city of Cortona, but only a 10 minute drive to town - making it a quiet and peaceful place to chill out and relax and soak up the Tuscan sun. At first it was difficult to find, as they are still waiting for signs to be erected. But once on Montalla, STAY on the road, veering right then sharp left, and continue on past a few buildings for about 1.5km. Then you will find the large free carpark on your left with an old horse-cart out front - clearly signed Casale lAntico Carro. After a very warm welcoming by two lovely guys, we we led up stairs to a huge room that looked brand new. Spotlessly clean, I was amazed at the work the family had put into rebuilding this property. A huge bathroom, massive bed, kind staff, wonderful breakfast. Seriously, look no further - this is a Tuscan Paradise. I will be back for sure.
