The hotel was super busy for our stay, but they did a great job keeping up with it. They were apologetic about getting towels out slowly, but we got everything we needed. The pool was nice, breakfast was great. The layout of the room was awkward, but we made it work. The room has a newer thermostat and it wouldn't get cold in the room even though the AC ran constantly. The lights were all very bright. It woke everyone up when someone had to use the restroom.

I will no longer be using Marriott, these last two years with this company have been awful. I officially transferred to Hilton properties for my hotel stays. As well, this is my second time staying at this location in San Angelo. In both times, the front staff are not friendly. This last time, I stayed in San Angelo the woman at the front desk did not acknowledge me, at my arrival time. She waited until she finished talking to the man in front of me. It was awhile, even when the man walked away to get a snack. I was just standing there and staring at her for some response. After awhile, she finally said something. It really made feeling uncomfortable from the start. I hope it wasn't because I was a woman, and not a man. The second staff member that I did not have a friendly experience was the next morning at 5 am. I was coming from the gym (at a different location). My father was asking the individual upfront about breakfast. He was very rude and condescending. It was a simple question about the breakfast. I will no longer be staying at any Marriott. They have really lost their hospitality standards. I travel a lot to many cities and small towns. They have really downgraded. The only staff members who were really nice and had great hospitality standards were the cleaning crew and the breakfast crew (cleaning and cooks).

The room was not as clean as one would hope for over $200 a night. The couch (we had to use) was discusting. It had stains all over it. The blankets and sheets we got had stains as well. These kind of things can make a whole room seem so dirty and disgusting.

Super clean! I appreciated the detail of cleanliness. The room was of adequate size. I really liked the set up. The toilet is in a different room with a sink. The shower room also has a sink. Convenient for more than one person. I also liked the sofa beds. It’s actually two extra beds with the bottom pullout. The hotel is walking distance to restaurants and was a safe area. What I didn’t like… The king size bed was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever tried to sleep on. It’s like sleeping on the floor or a piece of plywood. I tossed and turned all night trying to get comfortable and never could. My hip bones and shoulders feel bruised from trying to sleep on my side. The pillows were also a big disappointment. No support at all. The two nights we had to stay, the hubby and I didn’t get any sleep. It was miserable. After the first night, the a/c flooded the carpet, so they moved us to a different room and the bed was still uncomfortable.

An hour after check out i noticed the hotel charged my card 5 times starting with 250 and the last one 1 dollar. I keep my card locked so the transactions were denied. When i called to ask why the girl at the front desk said she did not know she just got there. Long story short they accused me of smoking which i do not smoke that it is disgusting and that i air that bad habit 15 years ago and then she said i broke tile in the bathroom and a towel bar. There were hooks not a towel bar and i clean the room horn me departing. I travel a lot and this claim is b.s. when i asked to speak with a manager she said there is nothing talking can do at this point. I'm so pissed. I have never felt so disrespected

It was very clean and maintained. I love how they attached a surg protector under the nightstand so there's more outlets. Though, the air conditioner was so loud. It sounded like a little man was in there working all night.

Very attractive property. We would have loved to use the pool and fire pit area but we ran out of time and it was raining. The couches at the fire pit were not in good condition though. Would not have wanted to sit there. The room and hotel were very clean but our room had a tub that didnt drain well so we had to stand in water to shower and the closet light didnt work well and was like a strobe light. Didnt stay long enough to worry w having someone come fix it. There is a microwave and mini fridge in the room which was nice for leftovers. Breakfast was super nice and delicious. Lots of options. Checkin and out was easy. Would return.
