We chose to spend a night here for our honeymoon. The hotel provides a very convenient—and free—shuttle service, which is incredibly thoughtful given that Varenna is a town nestled on a hillside. They can pick you up and drop off anytime from either the train station or the ferry pier !
The location is also perfect—right across from the church and just a short walk to the romantic lakeside path. Upon arrival, the staff greeted us with warm hospitality and pleasantly surprised us with a room upgrade. Every single staff member we encountered was wearing a smile; in fact, no matter who was at the front desk, they always remembered my name. As a traveler from Taiwan, I felt completely welcomed and experienced absolutely no discrimination whatsoever. It was such a touching and attentive touch for our honeymoon.
The hotel boasts a breathtaking lake view, allowing guests to enjoy the scenery peacefully away from the crowded areas. It is the perfect choice for anyone looking to relax and have a wonderful experience in Lake Como.

We had a wonderful stay with a room overlooking the lake and a nice balcony. The location can’t be beat and the shuttle service a huge plus. Lots of great restaurants nearby and we had pizza and salads on our last night at one of the hotel restaurants- really enjoyable.
