This review is in relation to budget hotels, if you’re looking at this review, then I’m assuming you are already OK with budget hotels.
The room itself was fine. Recently renovated, clean, not a lot of amenities, but it’s as fine a place to lay your head down for a night as any. If you’re a solo male traveler, you will likely be fine with this hotel.
The area around the hotel is just ok. It’s not unsafe per se, but it is Joliet, which in and of itself is not a great area.
This is by no means the fault of the hotel, but on the night I was there, the hallways reeked of the smell of marijuana smoke. This hotel strikes me as a place that experiences this every weekend; but again, you’re in Joliet and this is unfortunately par for the course.
The staff is by no means friendly, but that comes with the area/clientele.
I would stay here again if it proves the most cost effective option for my trip, but I will also explore other options in the future.
