A torrid time in a lovely place

We were given water on arrival, and a selection of books

BOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE!! This was the worst night we’ve had in our months of travelling. You will not sleep, with the next door bar blasting music at insane volumes until 4. The room is cramped and smelly, not at all like it looks online. Bad smells, and an uncarpeted filthy floor made worse by the fact you have to go barefoot. An awful experience, we tried to move but couldn’t find anywhere free nearby.

Lovely budget stay in a great Khao Lak location — made special by an amazing manager

This hotel delivers exactly what you’d hope for from a good-value, budget stay in Khao Lak, and overall it was a very pleasant experience. The rooms are simple and functional, with working air-conditioning, a firm comfortable-enough mattress and everything you need for a relaxed stay. While it isn’t completely silent, it’s very manageable—especially with earphones or light background noise—and didn’t detract from my sleep. The location is a real plus. It’s set in one of the nicer parts of Khao Lak, close to a 7-Eleven, local shops, and restaurants, and within a nice walk to the beach. While the sea can be a bit rough for swimming at times, the area itself is lovely to stroll around and enjoy. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and kind, and while housekeeping occasionally benefits from a gentle reminder, everyone is clearly trying their best and is happy to help. Room TVs may vary, but honestly, with so much to enjoy outside, it didn’t matter much. What truly sets this hotel apart—and the reason I would happily recommend it—is the manager, Koreeya. She is an absolute highlight: warm, confident, energetic, and incredibly helpful. A strong, inspiring woman with amazing presence, she brings heart and personality to the place and genuinely makes guests feel cared for. Her energy alone elevated the entire stay and turned a simple hotel into a memorable one. If you’re looking for a comfortable, affordable base in Khao Lak with great vibes and exceptional hospitality, this is a solid choice.

The bed was comfy, there were nice places to eat locally and you could walk to the beach within 10mins

Perfect to sleep

The small hotel is located at the main street of Khao Lak which makes it easy to reach nearby local restaurants, supermarkets and dive centers. Also the beach is only a couple of minutes by foot away. The staff was very friendly and in front of the hotel you find a small operator for organizing taxis and different sightseeing tours. The room was clean. Not the biggest but for us it was perfect. We spend every day outside and came back to mainly sleep and shower.

Great to zleep

Great location, very close to the beach (<10 min walk), next to bars and restaurants. We had the room in the back, on the with floor, which was a pretty nice sea-view (a few hundred meters from the sea). It is great to what it it's name say, to zleep. Not too many other other facilities, but the atmosphere is great

Due to Covid restrictions there was no breakfast, but I assume they will start serving breakfast soon again.

Nice place for a short stay

Right on the main road so close to restaurants etc. not a long walk to the beach. Bit noisy from the traffic but even on a Saturday night I heard no noise from nearby bars - maybe they are still closed because of Covid. Nice bed and bathroom. Good value for money.

Front desk lady had little to no info on buses to Bangkok. Would be nice if she is better informed. Very friendly and helpful.

God placering centralt i forhold til strand, restauranter osv. Virkelig billigt og udemærket til prisen. Personalet er imødekommende og hjælpsomme. Du får 10% på en virkelig lækker cafe ikke langt derfra, når du bor der (The Eight Cafe - kan anbefales). Atmosfæren og standarden minder mest om et hostel, men du har dit eget værelse og bad, hvilket er en fordel. Regn dog ikke med super rengøring. der er ikke uhumsk, men måske heller ikke helt så pænt, som du har det derhjemme. Men hvis du skal ud og dykke, snorkle og bade og ikke spænderer meget tid på hotellet, så er der mange penge at spare på overnatningen. De vasker også dit tøj, for en billige penge. Wi-fi er godt. Værelset er lille. Aircondition er fin. Badeværelset er fint. Prisen er virkeli g god.

Der var ikke så rent, som jeg kunne have ønsket mig. Fx skulle man tage skoene af inden man gik ind på hotellet, hvilket ville give mening, hvis der så var rigtig rent, men mine fødder blev altid mere snavsede af at komme derind uden sko, så jeg var nødt til at vaske tær, hver gang jeg kom til mit værelse. Til sidst gik jeg bare konsekvent med strømper. Men til prisen, var det udemærket og da jeg dykkede hver dag, vil jeg hellere have et billigt hotel, end top luksus. Hvis jeg skulle nyde en afslappende fe rie, ville jeg vælge et andet hotel. Men jeg kommer gerne tilbage, især fordi de var så søde.

Nachdem ich hier einige kritischere Bewertungen gelesen habe war ich gespannt, aber die Unterkunft hat meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Tolle Frauen, die dort arbeiten. Sehr schön eingerichtet. Bequemes Bett, tolle Kissen und Decke, ein Kühlschrank (!), warmes Wasser zum Duschen (!!), Wasserdruck sehr gut (!!!), Zimmer sehr praktisch eingerichtet, genug Platz für alles, trotz der Größe, da sehr gut eingerichtet. Eine Leselampe (!!!). Nichts hat gefehlt. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Ich wäre gerne länger geblieben.

Ich fand alles gut. Hier nur etwas, das man bedenken sollte, ehe man bucht: Ja, man hört Musik von der tollen Bar gegenüber und Geräusche von der Straße, aber wirklich nicht sehr laut. Wenn man es allerdings absolute Stille sucht, ist die ganze Straße nicht geeignet, egal in welcher Unterkunft, da sie sehr belebt ist. Die Musik der Bar war ab 1 Uhr aus, mich hat es also nicht gestört, ich habe mich eher über die Musik gefreut. Das Fenster muss man ohnehin schließen, damit die AC gut arbeiten kann.
