Overnight stay khaolak

Superb location, close to shops bars and beach. The owner couldn't do enough for you and organised a fantastic trip for us to see the tsunami memorial, bamboo rafting and temple visit, he even joined us for the day. We only stayed overnight but it was great value for money and would definitely stay again if in the area.

Nothing. Great for an overnight stay or few nights. No facilities to make meals but with so much on your doorstep, this wasn't an issue for us.

You will not be impressed. Owner is annoying and doesn’t understand basic social queues.

The room was spacious. There was hot water and good pressure.

When we were escorted to our room it smelled like smoke, in which I mentioned to the owner right away. He agreed and told me a long-winded story about a guest who was staying there and smoked in the room. He had no other rooms to offer, so we stayed and aired it out with the windows for a day. It was very unprofessional to offer that room to people who were expecting a non-smoking room. The room is basic, yes, but worse than the photos lead you to believe. We were a couple and had a room with a full bed and two twins. We expected to have the full, but it wasn’t made—there was no sheet on it and it was stained. So we slept in separate beds. The blankets were too small for the beds and we had to request another, which they provided. There was no shampoo or soap offered in the bathroom. But more than that, the owner was very difficult to deal with. He was very pushy. When we arrived, we were waiting to check in and he took two other guests before us. We waited 20 minutes. And then, he couldn’t find our reservation so he assumed we didn’t have one and shooed us away, in which I showed him on booking and he finally found it and made an excuse and mumbled about how there’s always an issue with Booking. Then, he proceeded to try to offer us a package for snorkeling in the Similan Island, to which we said we already have one booked and he continued to lecture us about how his prices are lowest and that we should have purchased them with him, as other companies aren’t as “good”. To which we said again, no thank you. The next day, as we are departing the building he sees I am holding the room key and without me speaking to him, says “you know, you have to be very careful with that key. If you lose it, it’s costly and if you’re going snorkeling you can lose it in the water”. Again, unprompted. Didn’t ask him a single thing. To which I said, I understand and that I know how to keep keys safe.

Close to the centre, loads of cockroaches and noise

It is super close to the main road, not far from the beach. If you come to Khao Lak by bus the meeting point McDonalds is literally the other side of the road, loads of trip options to Khao sok from there.

Perfect budget stay with the BEST host in Khao Lak <3

Best budget stay with a warm and super helpful host, Mr. Chang. He will make your stay so comfortable and hassle free. Helpful from the beginning since we made the booking, easy to connect and approachable. He will help you with the best prices on tours (we did Similan), transfers, everything. The location is just perfect with 7/11 right on opposite street along with many bars (Tarzan) and nice restaurants. Near the Khao Lak beach for some killer sunset views right from the streets around the stay. He helped us with laundry (minimal charges) and we were not expecting a cleaning service on such a budget stay and left our room really messy while going out for the tour in a hurry. They cleaned the room while being mindful of our stuff and kept it safe and neatly stacked for our return. That was a very pleasant surprise on our way back, tired but happy from the tour. He even suggested the Thai massage parlour downstairs right beside their office, it was priced perfectly and even the masseuse aunties there were very skilled. We left this place so relaxed and content with our stay.

The guy at the front desk came across as being annoyed by our existence and we had no water at one point, but they fixed the problem relatively quickly and overall it was good value for the price

The owner of the property was absolutely fantastic! Always super helpful and ready to accommodate all of our needs. He recommended some amazing tours at very good prices and always provided excellent suggestions. The laundry service was flawless—quick and efficient. Whenever we needed something, he was always there with a kind word and valuable advice. He even arranged taxis for us, even at the last minute, whenever we needed one. Overall, he was incredibly supportive and made our stay much more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place—it was a pleasure staying here!

Excellent budget accommodations right in the heart of town.

The host of this hotel is so nice and funny. Anything we needed he was there to help. It’s located right near everything you’ll need. The restaurant located behind the hotel is absolutely the best!

We have been traveling in Thailand for around two months, but this accommodation was the best in terms of value for money. The owner Chang is an absolute legend. He treated us very well like being part of his family. He arranged so many things for us and we could not be more greatful! If there would be a way to rate more than 10 points we would do it.

Simple and cheap next to the main road

The bathroom and room was alright The price The location is nice when you are driving through as it is just next to the main road and you can easily park bike/car in the front of the hotel. It was quiet at night even if it is next to the road.

We booked 2 twin beds and got only one big bed. Check-in process without passport was difficult (we rented a bike with passport), but this is more complaint to the Thai government and laws I guess :D

Absolutely amazing host and great rooms!

The owner (Chang) is the nicest guy on earth (He speaks perfect English and also a little bit German and Swedish). He helped us arrange everything! He booked us a bus from Bangkok to khao lak in advance and even called me to make sure that I’m on the right bus and everything is good. You can book everything with him and he always makes sure that you get the best price available (we checked and it was not possible to get busses, tours or a motorbike cheaper than with him)! The rooms offered everything we needed and were cleaned every day. All in all I can totally recommend staying here! Thank you for everything Chang!
