Very spacious room and bathroom, with comfortable beds. The host helped us book a tour and a motorbike. Nothing negative to say. There’s a reggae bar right in front with really good vibes.

The room was good value and very good size. It had everything you would need.
The beds were very hard but still had a good night's sleep, and early night might be hard as the rooms look out on to the main road which can be noisy, but not after 11/12 at night.

The room was spacious. There was hot water and good pressure.
When we were escorted to our room it smelled like smoke, in which I mentioned to the owner right away. He agreed and told me a long-winded story about a guest who was staying there and smoked in the room. He had no other rooms to offer, so we stayed and aired it out with the windows for a day. It was very unprofessional to offer that room to people who were expecting a non-smoking room.
The room is basic, yes, but worse than the photos lead you to believe. We were a couple and had a room with a full bed and two twins. We expected to have the full, but it wasn’t made—there was no sheet on it and it was stained. So we slept in separate beds. The blankets were too small for the beds and we had to request another, which they provided. There was no shampoo or soap offered in the bathroom.
But more than that, the owner was very difficult to deal with. He was very pushy. When we arrived, we were waiting to check in and he took two other guests before us. We waited 20 minutes. And then, he couldn’t find our reservation so he assumed we didn’t have one and shooed us away, in which I showed him on booking and he finally found it and made an excuse and mumbled about how there’s always an issue with Booking. Then, he proceeded to try to offer us a package for snorkeling in the Similan Island, to which we said we already have one booked and he continued to lecture us about how his prices are lowest and that we should have purchased them with him, as other companies aren’t as “good”. To which we said again, no thank you. The next day, as we are departing the building he sees I am holding the room key and without me speaking to him, says “you know, you have to be very careful with that key. If you lose it, it’s costly and if you’re going snorkeling you can lose it in the water”. Again, unprompted. Didn’t ask him a single thing. To which I said, I understand and that I know how to keep keys safe.
