Such a lovely feeling of old Bali. Our room was upstairs, so we had the full on noise from the performance at the palace but it only lasts an hour and is enchanting to see from on high

A really nice hotel with a very unique concept, located in a very good location in the center of Ubud. The Puri itself is gorgeous, but the place is also close to the art Market, which was a part of our main destination. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. They personally recognized every guests, making it a very safe environment. A minor comment about the fragrance used for the soap and shampoo amenities, but this is very personal and not a big deal.

A beautiful, authentic hotel with an amazing location. The rooms are spacious, clean, and nicely designed, which made the stay very comfortable. Breakfast was good with a beautiful view of a temple. The spa and massages were also very enjoyable. But the best part is the staff. The staff was all incredibly friendly, welcoming, kind, and always happy to help with anything we needed. We highly recommend this hotel!

Probably a bad idea to bring my family with elderly and a toddler. First of all, the Entrance itself is quite shocking. When the Grab dropped us off we thought we were at the wrong place. It’s a narrow dinghy lane without proper pavement, filled with small stones and muddy water and the reception wasn’t anywhere in plain sight. I had no idea how to drag my luggage in there. Luckily the staff appeared out of nowhere to help us with it. The welcome towels they provided were grey and look unclean so I left them untouched (so were the towels in the rooms). The welcome drink tasted horrible. Better if they didn’t offer to begin with. Lots of steep steps, no lift or escalators but the staff will help you carry your luggage to the room so you gotta tip them well. Breakfast was mediocre, the service wasn’t great but the view is nice and it’s quite serene. The place is also mosquitoes infested but then that’s common in Bali so ramp up your repellant weapons or pay with blood. Good thing is if you put your air con on full blast and use the mosquito repellants provided in the room you can keep the mosquitoes away. Beds are comfortable, sheets look clean but towels turn greyish when wet. The bathroom soaps and shampoo all smell funky like they went bad. No high shower head holder, only a bath tub with sporadic hot water supply. So if you want a quick shower you’re gonna have to just sit in the tub and hold the shower head. The good thing is, you get free access to the water palace, a key attraction where people had to pay to get in since you’re right in the temple’s grounds . If you take the 2nd level you get to watch the traditional show at night for free from your balcony, albeit you’ll be feeding the mosquitoes throughout so we didn’t bother with that anyway. At night, you get free live-band music from the restaurant right next to your accommodation. Whether that’s a plus or not it’s subjective. Overall, it’s a true cultural experience with the theme and all. But if you want a clean & comfortable hotel I wouldn’t recommend this place.
