Four Points Flex by Sheraton Salzburg Messe

Rooms were clean, good communication on where not to park our rental car. However our room windows were facing the hallway that leads to other rooms, so by opening our windows we had no privacy. No A/C too like other european hotels. Just choose a different room, otherwise all was good.

​I had a mixed experience during my recent stay. On the positive side, the hotel is clean, and the staff provides a lovely touch with free coffee available from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the lobby. ​However, there are a few significant drawbacks to consider: ​Location: The hotel is quite far from the nearest train station. A taxi or Uber to the station costs approximately €20–€30 each way, which adds up quickly if you don't have your own transport. ​Room Comfort & Ventilation: I found the room quite stuffy because the window was very small, making it difficult to get any fresh air. ​Air Conditioning Policy: The biggest issue was the lack of climate control. During my two-night stay, the temperature was between 20°C and 28°C, making the room very uncomfortably warm. When I spoke to reception, I was informed that the air conditioning is only switched on after May 15th. While they provided a fan, it didn't help much without proper ventilation. ​If you are visiting before mid-May or prefer a location close to public transit, you may want to keep these points in mind. It is a clean and pleasant place, but the lack of air conditioning made it very difficult to sleep during the warmer weather.

The hotel is quite far from the city center, so getting around takes a bit more time. However, they do provide a transit card for your stay, which was super helpful and made travel easier. The rooms were surprisingly spacious and came with great amenities—definitely more than I expected for a budget stay. Overall, a solid choice if you don’t mind being a bit outside the main area.
