Holiday Home In Cardiff, Sleeps 8

Very good location and a very nice sized home, outdoor area was nice. Lovely touch with having some tea coffee sugar and milk. Three bathrooms which is really handy when you have a few people staying. There is a washer/dryer in the home with pods and conditioner i assume you can use if need be! The house is lovely and warm which made it very cozy. Parking was easy and more than enough room for 2 cars.

The mattresses were quite soft which made sleeping quite uncomfortable. The walls could do with a lick of paint and the living room maybe re-decorated due to stale dog smell (only in the living room) which is unfortunate because the homes listing states no pets allowed. If these small things were to be fixed it would be 10/10 :)

Perfect for our overnight stay. Good location with easy access to the city. Comfortable and spacious.

Could have had a few more useful things eg oven tray, hangers but all necessary items were there.

The oven was not working as one of the dials seems to be broken. Found out when trying to use it. No info from landlord. I texted the landlord at the time and no response. Didn't like that. It would be nice if there mire chairs provided for dinning room when house is booked for 8 people (only six chairs in the house)

Very good location, easy check in, parking for 2 cars.

Firstly, before the main issue we had, just the overall state of the place, it is in quite a poor state of repair, many broken blinds, broken glass all over the garden, windows and doors that have not been cleaned in months, whole place stinks of cigarettes, aggressive signage upon arrival, stained sofas, wadded up tissue stuck to the ceiling, blocked shower drains, not properly cleaned with waste from last guests left behind, the host was also responsive at first but when he realised we were unsatisfied completely palmed us off at every opportunity. Upon check in the ground floor bathroom window was smashed, we contacted the host who was already aware of this (unsure why if it was not able to be fixed before guest check in you would not let us know ahead of time). Host was combative on the phone when I called due to lack of update, telling me it was not a problem and asking “if I was trying to cause an issue”. As a group of young women the main ground floor window being smashed is a safety concern when facing a main road. After lots of back and forth the host said they would come by that evening to put a temporary solution in place, cover it up with cardboard or something. The host never came and never reached out to say they wouldn’t. Would be perfect for a group of friends coming to see the football planning to spend little to no time in the property, not suitable for families. The location is very good with being close to town and the stadium but that does not justify the unpleasant conditions and unprofessional attitude of the host.

The house size was perfect. There was car parking, and space for us to eat together and relax together. Bedding and towels were clean and the house worked okay for our purposes.

The code for the lock box wasn’t made available until 10 minutes after the agreed arrival time. The photos were clearly taken a little while ago and the garden in particular is now very different. We did a little weeding! The house would benefit from some attention to detail - the windows were grimey inside and out and there was black mould round the showers and the kitchen sink. The kitchen equipment needs a bit of updating, pans were old, scratched and there were only 5 forks in total. Hint to travellers, cut it up small and eat it with a spoon 😁

Size was great, plenty big enough for all of us and the location, we were going to a gig at the Principality so tremendous that it was so close

Location was perfect, just by the train station. Beds were very comfy. Nice private driveway and good Tv

No instructions on how to get in the gate, no communication from the host when requesting information about the property. The light in the ensuite didn't work. The house was okay however wasn't overly clean with marks on the walls and sofas, dirty tissues were found by the plug sockets next to the bedside drawers. There is a nice back garden however no seats out there so you just look at it really. You really are just staying here for the location.
