Location was excellent. If the owner spent a bit of time and love on the van it would have been perfect.
Three of the rooms didn't have lighting in them; the kitchen, hall way and one of the bedrooms. Also a lot of the crockery had chips and cracks. Our contact apologised for the above and offered an additional hour to be added to our check out day. Also the voiles and some of the bedding had mildew on them. On returning home I needed to wash all of my clothes due to the small of mildew on them.

Good location - no contact
Handy location and nice and clean.
Light did not work in one of the bedrooms and one hall light was out. Could not work out how to use a gas oven and could not find instructions. Phone number of contact provided by Sykes Cottages was 1 digit short and so could not contact anyone. Sykes Cottages did not respond to phone (held on for an hour with just a voice telling me to hold). Also, did not respond to messages except with standard response.

Enjoy location in warm cosy Lodge over Xmas
Good location near Ambleside, very warm and well insulated. Lots of seating area with table. Good hot shower. Nice setting overall
Cooker very slow like a caravan one. Pillows and duvets very flimsy and poor quality. Kitchen cooking dishes and frying pans need updating. Batteries missing in all candies and lamps. Only tea towels for a whole week. Site facilities need updating as wrong info given re wellness facilities that are not all available!

Clean interior but a lot of cobwebs outside.
Central heating wasn’t working when we arrived. Spent the first night cold and absolutely miserable. Spacious living room but very tiny bedrooms and tiny toilet. Lack of toiletries. internet facilities might as well not be working.

Clean Spacious and met all our needs for a lovely weekend stay
On arrival we found the door to be unlocked, and we couldn’t lock it from the inside, on the Saturday we called the manager who sent out the maintenance man who arrived within half a hour and repaired the lock. excellent customer service.
