Perfect new year break, with added festive weather!

We stayed in the Bothy, which is a beautifully decorated cottage for 2. We had the warmest of welcomes from Lou and Jan, having had a bit of a stressful journey with the snowy weather. As soon as we entered the front door, we fell in love with this property. The log burner was freshly stacked and the lounge cosy and comfortable. The Christmas tree and other stylish festive touches were stunning. The Bothy is perfectly proportioned, with a fully equipped kitchen, gorgeous bathroom and a lovely bedroom with views across the Glen. The snow on the trees and hills made it look like something out of Narnia!

Fairy tale at Scotland

Stunning lication and veiw, great and comfortable roons and property. The hostess is amazing, we are thankfull her for small Christmas gifts and decoration that made our Christmas holiday cosy and warm. We fiil there are as at home really.

Brylach Steading is an excellent stay

Brykach Steadying is a beautiful heritage building from an original estate, which has a few self contained apartments. Our apartment was very nice with full kitchen, dinning, living room, bedroom and bathroom. Our unit was nicely decorated, clean and private. There is a clothing washer and a fire place in the apartment for a nice visit. Brylach Steading is in the middle of the Scotch distillery area, also very close drive to other attractions and towns. Our Hosts were very nice and detailed to provide a good stay. You require a car to stay here.

A wonderful property to stay in, surrounded by magnificent Scottish countryside.

The location of the property is stunning and property was part of some beautifully converted stables. The host was incredibly friendly and helpful and made it clear that they were available if needed. Everything was in place with excellent facilities and we only wish we were staying for longer!

This is one of those occasions where nothing could have been improved.

Loved it all. The cosy cottage, powerful shower, amazing views (even captured the Northern Light) Exceptional hosts. Everything was spotless. Dog bowls provided. Would stay again in a heartbeat

WiFi was a little temperamental but nothing too noticeable. Tv not affected but mobiles may be depending on network. Affected my phone but not my partners

Amazing hosts!!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in the heart of Speyside! The accommodation was spotless, quiet and comfortable — the perfect place to relax after exploring the nearby distilleries and countryside. Lou and jan were truly exceptional hosts: warm, welcoming, and full of local tips that made our visit even more special. You can really tell how much care they put into every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience — highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

A great find nestled in Speyside.

Beautiful location nestled right in Speyside. The renovated stables make for a unique stay! It's a quick drive to Elgin for dinner, shopping, etc.

The bed had a dip in the middle which made it a little uncomfortable but other than that it was great!

Lovely self catering in the heart of Speyside, well maintained and equipped.

The accommodation was a stylish modernised steading with many personal touches like fresh flowers. It was tastefully decorated and had everything you need.. It was near Dufftown where I was visiting friends. The owners were attentive.

Not much . The only thing, as a dog owner, there was nowhere on the doorstep to walk dog first and last thing. The nearby track was a private , keep out road.There was a garden but it wasnt fenced in and unsuitable for my dog. As I had to pay £25 for the dog for 3 nights, this was annoying.. The shops in Rothes, the nearest place, were poor but I realise there many in Elgin etc. I just did not have time to go there. The matress sagged a bit and was not the best.

Courtyard was great. Accommodation was spotless and our host couldn’t have been more helpful. We had everything we needed.

Location was inundated with distilleries and breweries so if staying for longer than a few days you would need to travel to visit other locations especially with a dog as many of the local attractions do not allow dogs.

Wonderful place to rent with a perfect location for whisky or wildlife exploration in Speyside!

Brylach Steading is an incredibly comfortable place to stay, with gorgeous grounds and views, and a location that makes it easy to travel to any of the main sights in Speyside. Sharon, the host, is so kind, and is helping send me an item that I forgot when I checked out. A+ hospitality and a delightful stay, I hope to return soon!

Fantastic cottage and peaceful location

We had a lovely stay at the Bothy. The cottage had everything we needed for the week. It was very comfortable and clean. Perfect location for driving to all the nearby towns and beaches. Wonderful hosts too who were very helpful and always available if we did need anything. Great stay!

A superb short break in the beautiful Hayloft !

Quirky hayloft , tastefully decorated and full of colour and lots of books , maps , utensils etc . Liked the courtyard to sit out in and the beautiful local countryside.

Due to the very warm weather and the boiler being in the bedroom , it was very very warm overnight even with the fan provided. Not something that could really be changed however a valid point if it’s going to be a ‘heat wave ‘

Very comfortable and convenient in every way

Location was excellent for our purposes. Facilities were very good and made for an excellent stay. Extremely welcoming hostess, and provision of local maps and guides, and relaxation books, was much appreciated. Nice to have a few basic cooking items provided to save unnecessary purchases on arrival.

Just a little fitment in the bathroom to put sponge bag, etc., on. Everything else was very well thought-out.

Returning soon it’s too good to be true

Myself and sister in law were working on a project an found this lovely place to stay, the general look of the place is very lovely from the outside and once inside it’s very homely an warm with so many personal touches to advise, welcome you and assist during your stay. Sharon was lovely as we arrived really late on in the evening an the snow was super thick so we had called to check location as it was hard to see an keep driving we were met at the property an let in but there is also a key code box too. We met gillie the dog he’s very friendly an super charming, you are warned not to touch the cats as they are wild but very much so handsome things. The property is lovely an provides a home feeling, comfort and relaxation. It makes you unwind from the day a your home life if needed. Couldn’t have asked for more an I’ll be returning a good few times over the next few months. Also with the Dog in toe as I can’t let him miss out on the surroundings of this beautiful property.

Kevin and Sharon are very friendly and helpful. The real woodburner is a plus for sure. Our two dogs also had a very good time.

To our flavour the bed was a bit hard. But this is our personal opinion.
