Fabulous!!!

I hate to point out the problems we faced as the apartment itself is lovely but it did slightly spoil our stay.

Can’t fault the situation of the property, right onto the promenade. Right by all the various boat trips and loads of restaurants. Only 5 minutes walk to swimming areas. Excellent facilities and cleanliness. Lovely hosts.

We are late seventies and struggled with the 42 stone steps to the front door of the property but this would be no problem to those younger than us. I also found the apartment a little dark with very limited outside space.

Palace Pernarius exceeded our expectations.

Palace Peranrus exceeded our expectations in every way. From the warm welcome by Lily and Harvey, to Lily’s delicious homemade treats, and Harvey’s fascinating historical insights about the house (I won’t give too much away - you need to discover it for yourself), everything was simply perfect. The house itself has a rich history, and every window frames an incredible view - whether it’s the quaint bay of Cavtat or its charming red-roofed buildings. From each window, it truly feels like gazing into a painting, and it’s even more beautiful than the photos suggest (and that’s no exaggeration). From the terrace, you can watch the sun sink low, disappearing behind the start of the lungomare as the sky melts into shades of gold. Inside, the high ceilings give the space a grand and airy feeling. The apartment is very spacious, filled with light from the large windows. Our hosts were, without a doubt, the best we’ve had. They provided beach towels and cushions, surprised us with Croatian sweet delicacies, and, living right next door, were always attentive to anything we might need. We loved the short walks to hidden coves along the shaded lungomare - what a peaceful escape from the crowds of Dubrovnik - with the air scented by pine and fig trees! You can also enjoy the wonderful sunsets at the mausoleum and at the beach near Hotel Croatia. Cavtat itself is a hidden gem: peaceful, beautiful, and full of secrets. Everything a traquil walk away. This place offers so much more than the description or the pictures suggest, and we truly hope to return. This is the place to stay in Cavtat.

Warm, welcoming, and perfectly located stay – we’ll definitely be back!

The apartment was very clean and cozy, with everything we needed. It looks the same or even better than on photos. The location is perfect – just a few steps from the beautiful promenade, restaurants, and the peaceful town of Cavtat. Liliana and Harvey are incredibly kind and caring hosts who truly made us feel at home. They also showed us the building’s fascinating history, which made the stay even more special. Harvey said- trust me you will love Cavtat, this is the best place! And he didn’t lie ☺️We planned to stay 2 nights and stayed 4 – we loved it that much! 100% recommend!

Thanks to the great location of Palace Pernarius and its facilities, we could really get a rest.

The apartment was very clean and spacious. The location was the best in the city with a wonderful view from the terrace! The main promenade is a few dozen meters away. The owners were very hospitable and kind. They told us about the town, treated us with various local delicacies, figs, cake, gave us wine, etc. There were two separate rooms with two bathrooms and two kitchenettes. The main, very large living room with access to the terrace. Each room was air-conditioned. Peace and quiet. The apartment looks actually even better live than on the photos.

Beautiful apartment in the perfect location

Stunning spacious apartment in converted 16th century villa with lots of period features. Dream location in Cavtat steps away from the sea, shops and restaurants. We really enjoyed sipping sundowners on the balcony and taking in the beautiful view. Lily and Harvey were fantastic hosts providing everything you could possibly need - even beach towels. Lily also made us a delicious fruit cake which was a lovely touch. We all had a great time and would love to go back.

The location was superb, lovely views. Harvey and lily were the best hosts we ever had and couldn't do enough for us. Lily made us a cake and invited us to dine with them, very good food and company.The apartment was large, comfy, modern and had everything we needed.

The apartment was outstanding, excellent location with stunning views and sunsets. Great for exploring the area by boat, bus or on foot. Lots of amazing restaurants and bars close-by. Highly recommended. Harvey and Lilly the hosts were so welcoming and helpful - Lilly made a birthday cake for our sons while we were staying.

It didn’t bother us but probably not ideal for people with mobility issues due to the steps - on the plus side this provided stunning views!

Amazing stay, would recommend, the location and view amazing.

The apartment is finished to great standard, it has everything that you need and more. The view and location is amazing. But most of all, the owners were so friendly and offered assistance even when we did not expect it. We left with such a warm feeling, they are amazing people and could anticipate that on the public holiday and all the stores were closed that we might need something and were amazing. The apartment is really very nice, clean and a great place to stay.

Perfect from start to finish!

We loved everything about this property. it was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished. The location was perfect for our stay in beautiful Cavtat. Harvey and Lily were so friendly and welcoming and even baked some delicious cake for us which was such a treat! Nothing was too much trouble and we loved every minute staying there. It was like a home from home and we are so glad we found this treasure.

Lovely hosts, spacious and well appointed property in an excellent location.

This is a superb property in every way. I was particularly grateful to Harvey and Lily for allowing us to stay one night only. Due to a technical error our request for a one night booking was accepted when in reality they have a three night minimum booking requirement. However, they very graciously honoured the booking and allowed us to stay for one night only. For that we were all very grateful.

The best place to stay for a family or anyone who wants to enjoy their stay at the Adriatic coast.

This property provides incredible value for the cost. There are three air conditioners (one in each room) and it’s location is incredibly central. You will be in the very center of Cavtat and close to most of the restaurants but still have tranquility and peace you need for an afternoon nap. We felt welcomed by the hosts who were incredibly generous with their time and resources. This spacious palace has an incredible history as the former summer home of the Duke of Dubrovnik, but it is recently renovated with all the modern fixtures and amenities (make sure to ask Hrvoje - Harvey about the history of Palace Pernarius). What a gem of Adriatic coast and we already miss Harvey and Lily.

Beautifully renovated, with high ceilings and well-equipped kithenette. Lots of hot water and excellent wifi. Located quite close to the bottom of the stairs of a small street in old Cavtat which would appeal to those seeking to avoid hiking up and down a great number of stairs, but still wish to be surrounded by the charm of the old town. The location is less than a minute away from the promanade where the majority of restaurants and cafés are located, and still tucked away so one can enjoy peace and quiet. Hosts are extremely welcoming and hospitable.

A wonderful family-feel like stay central to all the restaurants and facilities.

Lily and Harvey were so wonderful! Such amazing hosts, generous and helpful throughout our stay. they arranged a cotbed for our 3 year old and provided all the necessary facilities we needed for our son. they cooked an evening meal and also treated us to a wonderful cake. we felt like we visited a family. a brilliant location so central in Cavtat, markets and bus station all walking proximity. we had a wonderful stay.

A home away from home in gorgeous Cavtat

Harvey and Lilly were fantastic hosts, making us feel very welcome and comfortable. They greeted us with lemonade on arrival and shared cheesecake, tiramisu, and strawberries with us on successive evenings. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and spacious, with a wonderful view. I’d go back in a heartbeat. It is very convenient to everything!

Just a heads up if you have mobility issues. There are 38 stairs to reach the door to the building and another 14 inside to the apartment.

Wonderful, comfortable, historic and hospitable

Lily and Harvey are incredible hosts, they made us feel like good friends immediately. They offered us to leave our baggage early and also again after checkout which was a huge convenience. They were always easily reachable and responded quickly to emails and calls. They offered coffee and lemonade at checkin and told us lots of interesting things about their incredible property - which is a 500 year old palace which they totally refurbished into an amazingly spacious and beautiful apartment plus their own living area. The apartment has beautiful views and is full of amazing paintings of some of the most famous 19th century painters of the Dubrovnic and Cevtat area.

The location cannot be reached by car so that it takes a short walk from the station with your luggage plus a set of steep stairs to get to the front door, and again stairs to the apartment (not suitable if you have difficulty walking and/or carrying your luggage). However this is more than worth it.

Wonderful

Wonderful welcome and amazing hospitality from the delightful Liljana and Hrvoje who were just so welcoming and generous Place is very recently renovated and preserves many of the historic features so it’s lovely and everything works really well. Just moments from the waterfront in the old town which is beautiful - Cavtat is a stunning place, the sea is beautifully clear and great for swimming and diving.

The one bed apartment has no outdoor space - it didn’t bother me as the waterfront is just a moment away. But the two bed has an outdoor terrace which is really nice.

This place and its owners are so special. You feel like visiting your family, but better. You don't have to worry about anything, just enjoy your vacation. The owners are very kind and they have super sweet personality. Nothing is problem for them, they are very helpful. And they're making good coffee too! The place itself is very beautiful. Everything is new and it's well equipped. You'll find here even smoothie maker. From the terrace there is view on town and the sea. The town is very nice. Amazing stay

I stayed in 1-room apartment on the ground floor. I was the 1st one to stay in this brand new apartment. Everything is totally new and perfectly clean. Everything necessary for stay is there. Lots of cutlery and lots of beautiful dishes, pots, etc. Iron and ironing board, lots of hangers for clothes in the wardrobe. Good shower with good water pressure. Nets against insects on both windows. The nice church is near. The location is just perfect - in the very center of Cavtat, but at the same time in a quiet place, and the beaches are everywhere around - 5 minutes and you already swim in amazingly transparent blue water. The hosts Liljana and Hrvoje were extremely nice and welcoming and willing to help. Overall, good value for money. Nice chapel inside the inner yard. I would come there back again.

There’s no conditioner in the apartment, but it is not too hot inside, because the building has very thick walls. The patio on the pictures does not belong directly to the apartment, but the hosts let you in at any time, if you wish.

Гарне розташування, прям біля порту та пляжів. В апартаментах наявні усі зручності , навіть посуд та посудомийна машина. Дуже доброзичливі власники. Зустріли та навіть пропонували відвезти о 4 ранку у аеропорт. На останній вечір перебування запросили до себе та пригощали дуже смачним пирогом.
