Lathkill Barn

Loved the location on a working dairy farm . Spacious room downstairs with well equipped kitchen , dining area for 4 ,comfy seating area and direct access to the garden . Enjoyed the meet and greet animals in the paddock who were happy to meet strangers especially the donkeys . So many birds around too especially Swallows . The cats were a bit aloof to begin with but became very friendly towards the end of our stay. Great location for Bakewell , Chatsworth House , Lathkill dale and Matlock

Upstairs was very cramped with small beds and a tiny shower cubicle . More suitable for children than Seniors ! Not impressed with Spikes - the agent for this property - I asked if the accommodation had stairs and did not even get a response . My husband has mobility issues and a ground floor space would be more suitable . In fact there were several ground floor lets unoccupied on the site during our stay . As we had to pay in full when booking and no refund offered , we got by .

Lovely location. Felt very remote but actually bake is 5 mins away Good size living area and kitchen

Issues with TV. it kept cutting out and then re starting. Seemed power related

Warm, spacious, fully equipped, loved the sheep and the noise of the animals and the views

Nothing.

Location near Bakewell and in Peak District was perfect

Nice views, comfortable beds, good WiFi, Smart TV, good shower
