Comfortable, stylish cottage in a beautiful part of the country - perfect for a refreshing rest!

Everything was wonderful and we'd love to return soon! The cottage was very well equipped with some lovely touches such as a fire ready laid. Gorgeous view from the kitchen, some wonderful walks on the doorstep and the very handy for the village. We all slept brilliantly in the sumptuous beds (with lovely cosy bedding).

We would have liked a pint of milk on arrival and some basic toiletries (shower gel) as we had forgotten ours and wanted to freshen up on arrival - other than that, perfect!

The pictures do not do this house justice. It is truly beautiful with everything you need. Comfy beds, lovely fire and kitchen was super well equipped.

Perfect couldn’t have asked for anything better

The property was quirky views from the kitchen were beautiful there was everything you’d need for a break away loved the log fire just exactly what we wanted for our cosy nights in . Amanda was a great host very attentive and helpful with anything. The village was cute the people were very friendly and welcoming.

Perfect Peak District escape

Primrose cottage is a home away from home, so cosy with log burner, tastefully decorated, well equipped, and lots of little extras provided. It really is a lovely place to relax, great communication from lovely owner. The cottage is in the beautiful quiet village of Tideswell, superb location for exploring the Peak District, nothing seems too far.Lots of amazing walks & a few eateries on the doorstep too. Highly recommend, will definitely return.

Excellent place for a hiking holiday

It is a beautiful cottage with great location. The owner made sure we had everything you could wish for. She has really paid attention to every little detail and made it very special

Enjoyable Stay

Breakfast and kitchen area was very light and airy with views over the fields and easy access to a patio area. Amenities in the cottage had been really well thought through and decoration etc was excellent. Separate loo upstairs was very useful. Good location within easy walk of the village centre.

The second bedroom was more suited to younger children rather than two adults. We felt the lighting in the lounge area was a little cold and the provision of additional ambient light would make it more cosy.

Particularly liked upstairs, the kitchen, terrace & beautiful view. In a great position to wander in to town easily too.

The kitchen breakfast bar is a bit noisy, just needs screws tightening I think & you must remember shoes on the wooden stairs!

One of the nicest cottages I have stayed in, set in a beautiful part of the Peak District.

The cottage is situated in a quiet street, backing on to fields with a lovely view and only a short walk to the village center. It is more spacious than it looks in the photos, very clean and with many things to make the stay comfortable and enjoyable for all.

Nothing really. It may be worth mentioning the wooden staircase (include a photo?) as it is used a lot between kitchen and living/dining area and may be a bit tricky for older people or young children.

Beautiful, cute, full of character, comfortable and homely!

Such a cute, well furnished and clean property, full of character and in an excellent location to explore the Peaks. Most of the things we wanted to do were approx 15 mins drive from the cottage. Everything we needed was available, kitchen was fully equipped and beds were very comfortable (our two girls had a lot of fun sleeping on the bunk bed!). Lots of instructions which were clear and easy to follow. Views were stunning out the back, lovely rolling hills which were a joy to wake up to and view whilst having breakfast outside. Amanda was responsive and polite, we didn’t need to contact her throughout our stay as the instructors were so good around the house however in the comms prior to arriving she was prompt and polite. Thank you very much for a lovely few days, wish we could have spent more!! Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

A well equipped property, in a lovely village. The views from the cottage were lovely in the morning, with lots of scenic views surrounding the village. Amanda was always available to contact if needed, but we had no concerns during our stay. Overall a fantastic place, and we would definitely visit again!

Very Comfortable little Cottage. Sofa and Bed were great! Kitchen was well equipped. Loved the setting, amazing to have the cows in the field munching on grass only feet away. Easy contactless check in and check out. I was staying alone and Amanda was very helpful with any questions or concerns I had.

Family of 4 visiting the Peaks? Choose this

Lovely cottage in perfect location to tour the Peak District. Spacious kitchen and cosy living room. Hosts instructions were on point and made extra effort for children with games and puzzles available. In the kids room was a large single (almost double) and a bunk bed on top which ours loved. If we look to revisit the Peaks, this property would be our 1st choice!!

Amanda’s cottage is small but perfectly formed. it’s a lovely spot to come back to after a day touring the Peak District. Amanda has literally thought of everything, from a well equipped kitchen to helpful notes around the cottage. The beds are comfy, there are games and puzzles for evening time and guides to the local area. would highly recommend.
