Sapa Ta Van Desi House - Mountain View & Hiking Tours

It was so beautiful the mountain facing us from our homestay. The host family were very nice too and were able to help us rent a bike. I would say to book this stay in Sapa it’s one of my highlights

L’emplacement est exceptionnel car nous sommes au cœur des rizières en terrasse. Plusieurs bémols : le bruit vient de tous les côtés car les murs et plancher sont juste des planches en bois ; sanitaires sont plutôt sommaires et pas d’eau chaude pour la douche. Pour ce dernier point, on peut se doucher à l’eau chaude dans un salon de massage à proximité. Et nous sommes assez loin de la ville de Sapa , voiture ou taxi obligatoire !!

I needed to disconnect some days and have a nice view. It exceeded the expectations i had of this place. Also the family hosting me was super helpful and kind. Bia, thair baby is the sweetest! I recommended this place to some friends and they went to stay there. Thank you very much

The bed was super hard, but i slept very well. I am not used to =beds this type. I let them know and i was told it is the best kind of matress in vietnam

Warm welcome from the host, they helped us Get a taxi to the village. The homestay was also wonderful, with nice sofas, a well taken care of kitchen and a relaxing garden. We had free water and new towels everyday. The host gave us some tips on what to see in the area, arranged motorbike rental and cooked breakfast for us. The room was very nice, we had a terrific view of the valley and the bed had an heating system.

When I went to pay before leaving, it turned out that the breakfast and coffee were NOT included. Even though I specifically asked if they were many times when I checked in. THIS FELT LIKE A SCAM, and I dont appreciate it at all. I Can understand that you might not speak English, but it's not an excuse to not be clear about stuff, money in particular. I would have probably still gotten the breakfast, but definitely not the coffee, which was very AVERAGE and costed as much as the breakfast (50 VND). Also a coffee I DIDNT really ask for. The host ASKED me if I wanted one, and I assumed he was inviting me (like every other host had done with me so far in Vietnam). As much as I appreciated the host tips on what to see & where to go, it also felt very INVASIVE. It's ok to give tips but I dont need someone to organize my day for me. OVERPRICED. There are way better places to stay in Ta Van that cost less and feel more traditional.
