The room and location were good. Close to bus stops, and about a 15 to 20 minute walk to St. Peter's Square. Having a private balcony was a nice surprise. Gino our host was gracious and explained everything we needed to know to make our stay pleasant. The air conditioning was a life saver. The facility was conveniently close to restaurants and a supermarket.

The area of Gregory VII is not what I would consider "family friendly." The hotel itself is more a place to rest after a day of seeing the sights in Rome. The elevator was small, and required the use of a key. We assumed that our room would have a kitchenette, but it was actually a shared kitchenette with other guests. The refrigerator there was small, so there was limited storage space. Breakfast was OK, but limited. We were given vouchers for a cafe that was next to the hotel. It was the same menu every morning: Choice of Coffee with a croissant, or juice with a sandwich. Not the best but adequate.

Gino was fantastic, and couldn't do enough for us. Brilliant location to get all around the city.

Rooms a basic , but are absolutely fine. Just a bit dated.

The host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the whole stay feel relaxed and effortless. There was no breakfast provided, but the kitchen facilities were great for preparing my own meals, which worked really well. The location was excellent, close to key attractions while still feeling calm and authentic.
