The convenience to local transportation and just a short walk to the Vatican.
The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly.

The property’s location is nice; it’s located next to the Vatican. Very quick and easy walk to get there and a bunch of Cafe and Restaurant options in walking distance as well. Their showers are rain showers and they are pretty nice. The room is very spacious and has very nice strong lights the brighten up the room exceedingly well. The blinds or wooden covers over the windows also do an exceptional job of keeping light out so you won’t get woken up by the sun. I liked that there was also a TV with YouTube and Netflix on it as well as local Italian channels. The rooms itself also feel pretty secure. There’s an outside gate that you have to unlock to go to the front door of the building, that is also locked, to go to the common room door, that is also locked, to go to your room door that you have to remember to actively lock as well (the key to your room is a physical metal turn key)*.
The property and rooms did seem a little dirty. The walls in our room were all white but that caused them to easily have a lot of visible dirt and grime over the walls. Our bedsheets also looked dirty as well with some spots and streaks of what looked like grease. Of course the bed sheets were clean (I would hope) but them not looking clean was still a little uncomforting at first. On the listing it looked more like an apartment you would have to yourself but the layout is maybe more like a type of hostel. For our section where our room was, there was a common room area where the “kitchen” was (microwave, dishwasher, etc.) and two rooms next to each other. The room itself that you stay in is just a standard room. Their walls of the rooms are also a little thin. We stayed 3 nights and the first two nights no one was next to us but the third night there were people in the room next to us. We weren’t bothered by the noise they made but maybe some other people would’ve been. It also more so just stressed me out because I then felt like I had to try to be ultra quiet which isn’t super fun. The VAT tax had to be paid in cash which I did not have at the time. I’m not sure if it says on the listing that it had to be paid in cash, I didn’t see it anywhere but I could’ve missed it.

Location is really good, staff is very helpful, too.
Hot water system is a big problem, we stayed for 3 nights, never got enough hot water for all 5 of us for shower. No respond from owner for this issue. Also the suit is kind of under ground floor, no views at all, but just dust from the road if you have the window opened.
