it was a bit tough to get to the property but thats not the hosts fault and also the view was definitly worth it

This is a True Hidden Mountain Paradise: Perfect Silence, Stunning Views Of Lake Ohrid and the Mountains and Pure Nature! Our stay at Villa Grkasha was absolutely unforgettable. If you are looking to escape the noise of everyday life and find true serenity, this is the place. 🌲 The Setting & Location The location is spectacular. The villa is the very last house before the mountain lodge (30 min hike up) at the starting edge of the Galičica National Park, nestled right against a beautiful Turkish oak tree forest. The setting offers stunning, panoramic views. Aside from a local shepherd passing by daily with goats and sheep, or the occasional hiker setting off into the national park, there is absolutely no traffic. It is pure silence (except for dogs barking remotely, which is true..). The nearby village of Gornjo Konjsko has been abandoned and looks a bit like a ghost village, which only adds to the peaceful, untouched atmosphere. 🏡 Outdoor Living & Amenities The outdoor space is exceptionally well-designed for relaxing and entertaining: The BBQ Area: There is a fantastic outside grill and a comfortable covered outdoor dining table area making for some awesome BBQ evenings. Lounging: The balcony is equipped with great, comfortable chairs and sitting bags—perfect for soaking in the view with a morning coffee or evening drink. Note on Safety: While there is a great fire pit on site, we chose not to use it due to the dry conditions and respect for forest fire safety. 🛏️ Indoor Comfort The villa features super bedrooms that offered great rest, paired with two small but perfectly functional bathrooms. It easily accommodates a family or group looking for a mountain retreat. One upper bedroom has also a seating area with sofa TV etc. Both bedrooms upstairs have a tv. The heated water works with a switch at the upstairs bathroom. Make sure you dont accidentally switch it off or the boiler will not heat... speaking from experience.

The only minor area for improvement is the kitchen inventory and a few minor fixes. The cookware, dishes, bowls, cups, and glasses are a bit limited. Investing just €100 in expanding the kitchenware would be an awesome upgrade for guests who like to cook. Also, note for coffee lovers: traditional Macedonian coffee pots are provided, but you may want to bring your own setup if you prefer filter or espresso coffee. A few things need a bit of maintenance (shower curtain downstairs was a bit flimsy). Also check payment options, as it was a bit unclear for us. For families with small kids, the downstairs terrace doesn't have a fence, so be careful.
