Awesome place outside the crowd

Excellent stay. Location is few minutes from main road up to hill. Parking is in the front of place. We took 2nd floor apartment and view was stunning. There is terrace where you can enjoy cup of coffee or glass of wine. And ofc bonus are great sunsets every night over the Ohrid lake. Up to hill (6 min walk trough the old village) from apartment is great restaurant for breakfast/dinner with also stunning view. Recommend the Velestovo House to all passengers who want take a proper rest outside the crowd and traffic jam.

Do not stay in this unscrupulous people's place !

Is there any other wording about the correspondence between us and the hotel? The problem isn’t whether or not we use the spa: The problem is the behavior of the man and woman who introduced themselves as hotel owners. To whom it may concern How do I know the spa belongs to one person? Moreover, the Turkish family I spoke with was surprised to learn that it belonged to a single apartment building! As my husband and I were about to use the spa, the woman said, “You can’t use it; it belongs to an apartment building.” I said, “Okay, I’ll send a message to the booking page and get an official response.” After waiting for a long time, the man the woman identified as her husband angrily approached us, saying, “You’re leaving in five minutes. Pack up and get lost immediately.” I replied, “What’s going on? What’s going on?” I could have experienced the same situation. In my culture, insulting a man in front of his family is unforgivable, and an apology won’t close the matter. I don’t know who I’m talking to right now. “Was the attacker an immoral person, the hotel owner, or the hotel manager?” If you explain this, we can communicate more easily and accurately. This isn’t something to argue about, insults, or threats. It’s just a misunderstanding that can be resolved with kindness!” “Don’t make it a long story short, you’re going to get lost get lost,” he said. I experienced a similar incident four days ago. I beat someone at the Ohrid Police Station. You can ask. I could go into more detail, but is it necessary? Insults, threats, humiliation, and in front of my wife on our anniversary! In conclusion: I don’t accept your apology. Find another way to compromise. Insulting, threatening, attacking people, and then walking away without paying anything... That’s not in my culture! "Turkish and Albanian" If you’re a bandit who attacked us, don’t write to me again! "I’ll contact you!" It doesn’t matter whether you respond or not.

As a sixty-six year old who has vacationed in hotels in many countries: I have never encountered or heard of such low-level and immoral behavior!

I love it

Location is perfect for family, there is extraordinary view to lake and also garden view, the apartment is private and garden also. There is privacy and you can enjoy spectacular view to lake and city. It is like nature terapy. Beds are big and rooms accomondation is comfy, also the jacuzi in room is what make it extra comfort and relaxing accomondation.

We loved the apartment. It was all clean and ready before we arrived. It has great city view from the balcony. Big plus is that every room has its own balcony, and the house is lake oriented. The host Mila was so nice and professional. We will definitely come again.

Bathroom was a disaster. Water in the bathtub did not go away. And the sink also leaked water all over the bathroom.

Nice stay for a big family gathering

Excellent view, peaceful location. Spacious and comfortable apartments, nice and welcoming owners and locals.

Some of the appliances were not working properly. The pillows are too hard (this was the conclusion of the whole group of 12, so not a personal preference). There is no grocery shop in the village, so you need a car to get anything.

Ohrid Velestovo House

Great location with stunning views. You can buy basic goods on the spot. The room was clean. We went there with two toddlers, so cleanliness is a must for us. The house staff was friendly and helpful. You can't go to this place without a car. It is a 4km from the town of Ohrid. We will definitely come back here.

We spend second time 3 nights in this apartment. The Apartment is located in Velestovo. This small town is 5 km far away from Ohrid on the hills. So if you would like to visit the old town or the lake you need to take your car or a taxi. (In 2022 the price for a Taxi was 10 EUR for one drive) So we take next day our car but please are carefully because it´s very difficult to find a free parking place in the city Ohrid. You can also walk but it´s 300m high difference between the apartment and the old town. The apartments are well equipped and very comfortable with large balcony. (The view to the lake and to the old town is beautiful especially at night.

The room was extremely spacious and the view was amazing (although you do need a car to be able to reach the property as it is a 10-15 min drive uphill from the town center). The people at reception were very friendly and helpful.

Superb

I really liked the view, its a village situated well outside of Ohrid away from all the noise. The sunsets were magnificent, and the lights of the city in the evenings were magical. The host and the cleaning lady were really nice and smiley.

Velestovo is in the mountains, in order to reach it you need to travel by car on a narrow road with lots of turns and it takes 10-12 mins to get to/from the city. This isn't necessarily bad, but still worth mentioning. Also, if you are a morning coffee drinker, the hosts don't offer coffee at the reception booth, so you need to prepare by bringing a pot or stock up on instant coffee .

The view is stunning, hands down! The apartment was very clean and modern, everything worked perfectly.

We didn’t need daily cleaning, but it would be nice to get (without asking) basics amenities such as toilet paper.
